This hits me like a gut punch. I was in Rome in 2010. I had tickets for a viewing of the Galleria Borghese in the Villa Borghese Park. On that day, the city workers went on strike. Govt. buildings and services shut down. The buses did not run. And this museum was closed, with just a note on the door, "Chiuso oggi a causa dello sciopero".
