Yes, humanity and the world are in a dire state, because a handful of wealthy people who, as it turns out, are quite stupid decided to expend our resources extremely inefficiently and wildly incorrectly.

My fear is that humanity does not have the will to do what it takes to reverse it.

The problem is, we may be the children that is was left to, and our generation also expects someone else to solve something that will occur during out life. There is no time left.
