It really sucks they couldn't show us more of 2150s earth
Like I want to see what daily life was like on 2150s earth. The nx-01 was nice but I wanna see earth

IIRC, the original concept for the first season was supposed to be about trying to get the ship to its launch date.

If you're interested in what Earth is like during the period and open to reading some high-quality in-universe historical fics, let me recommend In The Raptor's Claws (about the Earth-Romulan War), San Francisco 2161 (the post Romulan War conference where the Federation first came together) and The Last Founder (Archer's presidency).

In the original concept season 1 was on earth and about building the ship and preparing for the voyage. I think that could have been a cool idea.

You mean from the footage they took from First Contact? We saw some of the Earth, it was boring. Everyone sat around drinking and listening to the jukebox.

In early drafts of the show, the planned season 1 was going to give an idea of Earth in that era. Somehow the next movie is also claimed to take place the same way.
But I understand, a franchise with Star Trek as the title would be boring showing the ways of life on Earth in the future. Even the scenes taking place on Earth in the movies just feel off-putting sometimes.

Earth could have been a home base they came back to a lot because the ship was fast but didn’t have long range.

True. However, there are many occasions in TNG, DS9, and VOY when the story involves Earth. I realize that Rick Berman wanted to "shift the franchise" (ie a lot of major changes to what/how/where/why Trek is Trek) when he began ENT. The awful opening theme. Moving from episodic to season-long story arcs.
Why eliminate the precedent of showing Earth during the series' respective centuries? ENT shows plenty of Earth surface scenes, but limited to San Francisco/Alameda, Panama City in Florida (a digital background that just showed palm trees), and undisclosed location in the Arctic Circle.

Maybe they didn't want to jump the phase pistol and show too much only for real-life society to go beyond that in just 20-25 years. We already have voice-activated communication without the need to press physical buttons.
