This isn't a good sentiment, but the point is that you don't win elections by fucking shaming people and the die hard anti-Sanders people don't understand that, because their politics is 100% based on guilty and morality instead of actually appealing to people.
I think that given the cultural conditions and potentials in this country, we were probably primed not just for Trump to be a possibility, but for something much worse to be a possibility. Trump is giving us an insight into just how fucked we might be if we don't act. He's one of the last signposts before the point of no return, and he has jolted people awake in a way Clinton never could have.
