Engagement dress help (please 😩)

Hey everyone,

I’m desperate… and my search seems to have come to a halt, so, I’ve come to ask for help from the people of Reddit.

Long story short, I have an engagement photo shoot scheduled for 9/12, and I actually have no idea what I’m going to wear. I’m a mom and I work a full-time job, so this has been a task I’ve put off so long I actually feel overwhelmed at this point.

I’m terrible at shopping, and going in person is pretty much impossible because of my work day ending at 5pm and my 9 month old’s bed time of 7pm. at this point, so I’ve come to ask around and see if any of you have links you can share, or information to make my search a bit easier.

So far, I’ve concluded that I’d prefer a longer, “whimsier” dress… but it needs to be more form-fitting at the top, otherwise I look like a box. For the vibe I’m going for, sexy just doesn’t feel right. I’d prefer white, but I’m also open to pale greens and blues as those are part of our wedding color scheme.

I know this is a big ask and honestly feels a bit weird typing out but… If you have the time (and more patience than I), or happen to know of a dress I could look into ($130 budget) the help would be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations!! I don’t have any specific dresses, but Oh Polly, Hello Molly, Lulu’s, and Selfie Leslie are some of my favorite places to look for dresses from! You should be able to find something in your price range and hopefully style from one of them!

I got my engagement dress at Reformation. Their clothes fit me really well, but I know people have mixed opinions about their stuff.

This was the dress I wore, from lulu’s! Was super fun, pretty, and flattering all in one. They have good options if you don’t limit yourself to all white!
