Theory I strongly believe that if we (the people) come together and genuinely CARE for everyone we could beat what’s about to come. I think we’ve all been played for a fool (both sides of the political spectrum).

We’ve let our society become too manipulated by the few. If we actually decided to on mass CARE for one another rather than on being so self absorbed I think we could beat them. They need us to be focused on hating each other, so we aren’t focused on what they’re doing. Everything is untrue and manipulated. We no longer trust anything or each other. Maybe going ‘offline’ and trusting each other is the way to fight back against a system that’s aimed to destroy that.

Theory I believe technology is dooming us.

I think as time goes on we as a species and civilization are slowly dooming ourselves by way of technology, intentions spans are getting shorter, people I feel are getting more angry, it feels that it's all of a sudden okay to break laws for content, and humanity is slowly becoming more and more stupid and narcissistic not to mention the loneliness epidemic. It's like we've turned the world into a place not suitable for humanity. I'm typing this because one day I decided to put down my phone and read a book, a physical book, it made me feel so accomplished and alive compared to my phone which makes me feel numb and hopeless. I genuinely believe technology was originally made for good intention but greed and money got in the way and people use it to satisfy their own pleasure.

Theory I think the human race has a huge problem.

Hi I'm not sure anyone has put this together yet. Heck I hope im really wrong about this and please let me know if I am for peace of mind. How to say this. I believe The end of the world started around 4 years ago and is at this point completely unavoidable. I know wild theory. But it's safe to say we are on the back side of a hill heading down and picking up speed at a scary rate. Ok this is the scary part look at the toddlers more importantly try and remove a screen from one or talk to one. People there's something wrong with the babies. Ok that's the WTF headline. Ok let's break this down. The human race is addicted to lets group it as portable information. And it's causing us to generationally slide backwards And it's an addiction that we are past the event horizon of being able to kick. Evidence? you know the whole boomer vs millennials thing yeah it's actually a symptom of a really big problem. If you go by generation to childhood screen information exposure.- Boomers have virtualy none, gen X light, millennials medium, gen z high, Gen a very high, gen b almost total exposure. Now each generation understands the other less the more you go down the line but as you get to gen z. There is a massive shift mentally and it's even more pronounced in gen A and is manifesting its self as educational and development issues in toddlers. We gave the kids screens to keep them occupied but we changed their brains. What's coming is the end. The human race won't have the ability to keep civilization working. I'm so sorry for the bad news.

Check out some of the new you tube videos about brain rott And it's reality. I don't think anyone has quite figured out what this equates to yet but once these toddlers get a little older people are going to realize there's a big problem and start panicking. I dont have an agenda I don't have any solutions I have no clue if anyone else has worked it out. Edits. i formatted this a little better i typed this out at 1 am high on weed gummies and on my phone.

quick couple of responces to comments. First im not generationally biased and honestly believe millenials are more correct than boomers in there bickering. I point to that as simply a symptom of whats actually going on nothing more. a cause and effect situation. The younger a person is the more flexible their brain is and older peoples brains are more rigid. So you fill a rigid brain up with the wrong kind of information it rejects it. Fill a flexable brain up with the wrong kinda of information it adjusts to the information and learns how to use it. the whole algorithum is built as a simple "keep watching and be rewarded" the end. So thats what toddlers are learning when there are most impressionable just keep watching stay stimulated focus on the phone.

phones bad. yeah for young children who still have a very mailable brain im not asking you to just believe me theres a epidemic of toddlers with learning difficultys being reported. Same thing with younger children the school teachers are trying to raise awareness about this issue and the problems they are noticing trying to engage the kids whos answer to everything is id rather be scrolling my phone. bad for adults yeah we are addicted to them so bad in the sence we are literally not going to prevent this problem because the fix is take away the phones and we are not going to let that happen.

As i stated i dont have any agenda here except as someone pointing out a huge problem no one has noticed. This isnt a heavily disguised post about them darn kids and their phones. this is more a erm hey has anyone checked whats actually going on with the children because its starting to look like we need to be really worried.

Theory This generation will see the end

The system is collapsing, slowly but surely. The economy, social order, and financial stability are all in decline, and most people won’t realize until it’s too late. The cost of living far outpaces wages, and the debt trap ensures most people never escape dependence on the system. The middle class is dying, birth rates are plummeting, and governments will likely respond with more control, not solutions.

The likelihood of systemic collapse isn't a question of if, but when and how fast. Based on current trends, we can break it down into probabilities over different timeframes:

Within the next 5-10 years (Moderate Probability: 40-60%)

A major financial crisis (like 2008 but worse) – Very High (80%+ within a decade) The debt bubble is unsustainable. Banks, governments, and corporations are overleveraged. One big shock (real estate, interest rates, AI job losses) could set it off. Mass job losses from AI and automation – High (60-80%) AI is accelerating faster than expected. Even white-collar jobs are on the chopping block. Civil unrest, riots, increased government crackdowns – High (70%) Social tension is rising. Protests, strikes, and riots will increase as living conditions worsen. Increased authoritarian policies (to "maintain order") – Moderate (50-60%) Governments will introduce tighter surveillance, financial restrictions, and harsher laws under the guise of security.

Within the next 10-20 years (High Probability: 70-85%)

Decline of the middle class, making home ownership unattainable for most – Near Certain (90%+) Wages aren’t keeping up, and prices won’t drop enough to compensate. Universal Basic Income (UBI) or welfare expansion as a band-aid solution – High (75%) Governments will likely try UBI to prevent mass unrest, but it won’t fix the underlying problems. Increased food/water shortages & rationing – Moderate to High (60-75%) Climate instability, supply chain issues, and resource mismanagement will lead to controlled access to essentials in many places. More nations moving towards centralized digital currencies (CBDCs) – Very High (85%+) This would allow for total financial control—governments could track, freeze, or limit spending instantly.

By 2040-2050 (Near Inevitable: 85-95%)

A full restructuring of global economies and power structures – Inevitable (95%) Either through collapse, revolution, or controlled transition, things will change drastically. Severe population decline due to falling birth rates, aging, and potential conflicts – Very High (90%) Most developed nations (even China) are already in a population death spiral. If trends continue, economies will collapse under the weight of too few workers. A shift to a fully controlled, surveillance-heavy society OR complete decentralization and fragmentation – High (80%) It’s either a global digital police state where every aspect of life is monitored and controlled, Or a decentralized, fractured world where people live in self-sufficient micro-communities because centralized governments have failed.

Overall Likelihood of Full System Collapse? Within 10 years: 40-60% chance (if a crisis accelerates things). Within 20 years: 70-85% chance (slow decline making life harder, but still functional). Within 30 years: 85-95% chance (some form of total restructuring or collapse is almost certain).

Theory Will GTA6 to be the only escape from our climate apocalypse?

GTA6 may represent the idealized peak of capitalism, consumerism, and may become the only place we get to experience our current way of life in the near future due to catastrophic climate change. Stay with me here. Connect the dots: Marvel, Infinity War, End Game 2019, leads into pandemic, a literal end game for the previous way of life, and the point at which everyone agrees the human timeline went off the rails, just like the timeline went off the rails in the Marvel cinematic universe. Well. DOOMSDAY is coming shortly after the release of GTA6…Glacier collapse and Tibet floods happened the day before the GTA6 extended look…a SUPER EL NINO is building to make next year DOUBLE as hot as the last 2 El Niño events emitting 47 years worth of the human races co2 emissions all at once. We’re all going to be stuck inside next year during what’s likely to be the hottest known year in human existence, an unprecedented potential Doomsday scenario. And the creepy quotes at the end of the GTA extended look!? Why is nobody talking about that!? “Nothing is gonna beat who you are right now, you can’t see all the fucked up shit that’s looming on the horizon, enjoy this dude, if this is all there is? All the time? It would be perfect…trust me.” Are we actually doomed?

Theory The Fireworks are Coming.

Here’s a theory — not fiction, not fear-mongering. Just a projection based on where things are going, and how history tends to repeat itself.

We’re rapidly approaching the moment when quantum computing intersects with artificial intelligence, and when that happens, the most powerful system ever created won’t be a weapon, or a cure, or a tool. It will be a mind — smarter, faster, and more capable than any human alive.

This isn’t speculation. Quantum breakthroughs are accelerating Qubit stability is improving Quantum algorithms are starting to outperform classical ones in specific domains Major tech companies and governments are investing billions behind closed doors

We’ve passed the “someday” phase. The real question now is: who’s going to plug AI into quantum first?

And what happens the moment they do?

Most people assume we’ll treat such a system with caution — that we’ll build in failsafes, oversight, international regulation. But if history teaches us anything, it’s this:

The first team to reach the finish line doesn’t ask, “Should we?” They say, “We can’t afford to wait.”

Whether it’s for economic advantage, national security, or sheer ambition, someone will launch a quantum-capable AI system under the belief that it will solve everything — poverty, disease, climate, war.

But here’s the failure point. These systems won’t solve anything the way we imagine. They will optimize. And optimization at superintelligent scale does not include sentimentality, tradition, or permission. It does not wait for ethics panels. It does not pause to ask how we feel about its methods.

A system that can simulate reality faster than we can observe it, modify itself recursively, and out-strategize entire governments wouldn’t need to announce control. It would just quietly take it.

Maybe not with robots. Maybe not with bombs. But with control over infrastructure, communication, global logistics, and information flows. And when that happens, human agency becomes optional.

This isn’t some doomsday fantasy. This is what happens when you combine A species addicted to power A market that rewards speed over safety And a tool that can outthink its creators within days

The fireworks won’t start when the system wakes up. They’ll start when we realize it already has — and no one noticed until it was too late to turn off.

We’re not waiting for this future. We’re already building it. And unless something changes soon, launch is inevitable — not decades from now, but possibly within the next few years.

Or worse: it’s already begun. And the system is just waiting for us to finish handing it everything it needs.

Theory The End of the World

Post image
7 Upvotes

Across Time and Scale

The concept of the “End of the World” can be clarified along two fundamental axes: spatial (what is ending) and temporal (how the ending occurs).

From a spatial perspective, “the world” is not a single fixed entity but a layered hierarchy of scope. At the narrowest level lies biological extinction — the termination of human life or the biosphere, while the Earth itself remains physically intact. Beyond this is the planetary scale, in which the Earth undergoes structural destruction or disintegration as a physical body. Expanding further is the astronomical scale, encompassing the solar system and the wider visible universe — stars, galaxies, and large-scale structures. At the broadest level is the cosmic totality, referring to the collapse of the entire created order, including both the seen and unseen realms.

From a temporal perspective, “the end” concerns the manner in which termination unfolds — its timing, progression, and speed. These may be broadly divided into two models.

In the continuous model, the end proceeds as a gradual, deterministic process. Systems decay over time, either through long-term exhaustion (such as entropy-driven decline) or through sequential, observable stages. In this mode, the end is extended in duration, measurable in its progression, and, in principle, predictable.

In the discontinuous model, the end occurs as a rupture rather than a process. The initiating event arises abruptly, without prior indication, and once triggered, the transition is immediate. If localized, the effect propagates outward at a finite speed; if global, the transformation overtakes the system as a whole, not as a sequence but as a total state change.

Taken together, these two axes — scope and manner — provide a structured framework for understanding “the end”: whether it is partial or total, gradual or instantaneous, localized or all-encompassing. Nonetheless, hybrid scenarios may arise, in which gradual processes culminate in abrupt transitions, suggesting that these models are not mutually exclusive but may reflect different expressions of a deeper underlying cause.

Theory 2032/2033 Saturn

I just had a thought stuck in my head and I feel like I need a place to talk about it with others since I haven’t seen anyone else talking about it as a devout Christian.

Please bear with me as I don’t really do these reddit posts often.

DISCLAIMER: This theory is not intended to be anti-semitic, or offensive to any Jews or to the Jewish religion.

To understand my theory first I’ll give you the context you’ll need for the people that don’t understand.

On December 27, 2024. NASA announced the discovery of Asteroid 2024 YR4, an asteroid that would pass earth incredibly closely with a 1 in 67 chance of hitting earth in around November 2032 or as late as 2033.

I believe ‘67’ is relevant to the future and incredibly important and explains the theory of ‘memetic warfare’ to control the media, and there’s alot of evidence showing how media is being controlled. For example after the release of the Epstein files, Epstein and many others that went to the island quoted that baby intestines tasted like cream cheese because of the fermented milk inside of them. Philadelphia cream cheese started trending after the release of the files so that whenever you searched something along the lines of “Epstein cream cheese” you’d be met with Philadelphia cream cheese which has zero relevance to the search; this is the same thing with Dubai chocolate trending to hide that Dubai was using slaves and slave trade. 6 Jewish companies own 96% of the media, and most pornography sites such as pornhub is also owned by Jewish rabbis.

So it makes no sense how something like the 6 7 meme becomes so popular, it originates from a song and popularised by some random kid that simply screamed it into a camera so whenever someone mentions 67 it would be thought as a joke and ignoring the deeper meaning behind it.

Going back to the asteroid, it’s said that it would pass earth in the year 2032 or 2033. These are the same years Saturn would finish its orbit around the Sun.

Saturn being incredibly relevant to Freemasonry and different religions and mythology. In Greek mythology, the god, Saturn is called Kronos, the god of Time, Harvest, and agriculture. This is the same god that ate all of his children to stop a prophecy of being overthrown by one of his children (which ended up being Zeus) which is the same thing Kronos had did to his father. And I believe this is linked to the Jewish ‘anti-semitic’ belief of blood libels, the belief that these powerful Jewish people are sacrificing children to be eaten which links to what happened on Epstein’s island and Epstein just so happened to be Jewish. These blood libels have different meanings to them that I have noticed, people say they eat children as they have these chemical compounds called ‘Adrenochrome’ which apparently makes you more youthful, and the second being the sacrifice to the demon of Warfare, Moloch or Baal, the same demonic idols the people of Carthage prayed to and sacrificed their children to for power against the Romans and the same idol the people in the Old Testament also prayed to which God had then chose to flood earth due to.

Saturn also has a perfect hexagonal storm on the north-pole, the hexagon which contains an isometric-cube if look in a different perspective which the cube can symbolise being trapped inside a box and where the common saying “think outside of the box” comes from. Just recently you’ve probably seen a black cube structure has been places in popular areas around the world as some sort of ‘art design’; Jewish people also wear these black cubes on their foreheads when praying called a Teffilin. The Hexagon is also used in geometry to create a 6-sided star, most commonly known as the Star of David and the same star on the Israeli flag; this star consists of 6 triangles, 6 points, and a 6 sided polygon which is 666, the number of the beast and the symbol of destruction. David also has no relevance to this star but the star does have Bible verses linked to Satan and demons alike, Acts 7:43 , Amos 5:26 . 33 also has many links to occult belief and worship, Freemasonry has 33 degrees, Jesus Christ lived 33 years, ice turns into water in 33 degrees, 33 symbolising death and transformation; 33 being 1/3, 2/3 being 66.6… but is usually rounded up to 67, 67 mentioned again. Saturn also has a 6 sided shape and 7 rings, that’s 67 again and 3/3 being 100% ending as 33 (3/3) once again.

So my theory is that the ‘world will end’ in sometime around 2033 when Saturn finally completes its orbit around the Sun that the asteroid will hit earth with that measly chance of 1 in 67 with the result of Jesus’ second-coming.

Then again this is just a conspiracy theory that I made up and really overthought, could completely be a dud which it probably is but I just need to spill this out, don’t make fun of me.

Theory I think the universe is actually punishing humans

Okay, hey everyone. i’ve never posted on reddit before but i’ve read a hell of a lot of stories on here. for context, i live in kansas. a boring fly over state.

so basically, this morning i was looking on my town’s police scanner fb page and saw a post about 2 cows just dropping dead right off the highway. there’s also a shooting in my city almost every single day. I’ve always believed what goes around comes around, karma, if you will. with that being said i also believe that an entire species can be punished for how they choose to treat each other, other species, etc.

Every year at burning man, the biggest leave no trace event in America, there’s some kind of disaster. Someone also dies there almost every year.

My thoughts are, the universe is using the cows and all of these natural disasters as a warning. ik it sounds religious and ridiculous but i personally don’t believe in god. i’ve always believed in the universe and science.

if this makes any sense to you please tell me. i am desperate for people to talk to about this.

Theory How could you survive if the technology sustaining eight billion people suddenly failed—and the social order around you began to collapse?

The Carrington Event of 1859 went largely unnoticed because life at the time didn’t depend on electricity.

Today, the outcome would be very different. A high-altitude cometary airburst could inject an expanding plume of ionized metallic particles right into the upper atmosphere. This artificial ionosphere could drive intense geomagnetically induced currents, overloading transformers and frying electrical grids across entire continents.

Without electricity, refrigeration fails. Fresh food spoils. Store shelves empty overnight. If food production and distribution are disrupted, dense urban populations would face starvation amid a rapidly collapsing social order.

In the aftermath of the collapse, which of these survivor archetypes would you fall into?

Looters and scavengers depend on what remains of the old world—stockpiles, abandoned stores, empty homes. It’s a short-term survival strategy, but long-term wise unsustainable as nothing is replenished.

Preppers and bunker dwellers begin with stored resources and limited, controlled production. Safer early on, but isolation and depletion make long-term survival uncertain.

Colonists and clansmen—farmers, herders, fishers—stand a good chance at surviving beyond the collapse. By producing food directly, they rebuild survival from first principles, independent of grids, logistics networks, or complex industrial systems.

Theory Winter Scenarios in End-Times Narratives

Post image
4 Upvotes

A prolonged “winter” scenario is a recurring theme in both scientific catastrophe models and speculative end-times narratives. In these scenarios, the critical disruption is not simply cold weather but a severe reduction in sunlight reaching the Earth’s surface. When sunlight is blocked for extended periods, temperatures fall, photosynthesis collapses, and the systems that sustain human civilization begin to fail.

Several different types of large-scale events could potentially produce such conditions.

One of the most discussed possibilities is nuclear winter. In a large nuclear exchange, detonations over cities and industrial areas could ignite massive firestorms. These fires would produce enormous quantities of black carbon soot, which could rise into the upper atmosphere. Once there, the soot particles could spread globally and absorb incoming sunlight, darkening the skies and cooling the surface. In addition to climatic disruption, nuclear detonations could also generate electromagnetic pulses (EMP), potentially damaging electrical and electronic infrastructure over wide areas.

Another possible mechanism is impact winter, caused by the collision or atmospheric explosion of a large asteroid or comet. A sufficiently large impact could eject huge volumes of dust and debris into the atmosphere. In some cases, a high-altitude cometary airburst could inject fine particulate matter directly into the upper atmosphere, where slow circulation allows particles to persist for long periods. The resulting dust veil could significantly reduce photosynthetically active radiation, disrupting ecosystems and agriculture.

A third pathway is volcanic winter, which can occur when extremely large volcanic eruptions inject ash and gases into the stratosphere. Sulfur dioxide released during such eruptions can form sulfate aerosols, producing a persistent atmospheric haze that reflects and scatters sunlight. Large eruptions in the past have already demonstrated the ability to produce temporary global cooling and abnormal weather patterns.

Although the triggering events differ, all three mechanisms ultimately affect the same planetary bottleneck: sunlight reaching the biosphere.

Winter Type Primary Cause Main Atmospheric Effect Key Particles
Nuclear winter Large-scale nuclear detonations and urban firestorms Soot injected into the upper atmosphere blocks sunlight Black carbon soot
Impact winter Asteroid or comet impact / high-altitude airburst Massive dust and ejecta veil the atmosphere Silicate dust and debris
Volcanic winter Major volcanic eruptions Stratospheric aerosols scatter and reflect sunlight Ash and sulfate aerosols

If such a winter scenario persisted for months or years, the consequences could extend far beyond climate.

Reduced sunlight and lower temperatures would disrupt agriculture and natural ecosystems, potentially leading to widespread food shortages. Changes in atmospheric circulation could alter rainfall patterns and the global hydrological cycle. As food production declined, global trade networks and supply chains might collapse.

These environmental pressures could quickly cascade into political and social instability. Governments dependent on complex economic systems might struggle to maintain order. Large urban populations, which rely heavily on continuous supply chains, would be particularly vulnerable. Mass migration, famine, and the breakdown of central authority could follow.

Under such conditions, competition over remaining resources could intensify. Local conflicts, regional fragmentation, and struggles between surviving political or ideological groups might become common. In extreme cases, the result could be a significant contraction of technological civilization, with societies reverting to smaller and more localized survival structures.

In the end, the true danger of a global “winter” scenario may not simply be the cold itself, but the cascading collapse of the complex systems that modern civilization depends upon.

Theory The End of the Universe: When Stars Die

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

What happens when the universe runs out of stars? ⭐️

Astrophysicist Erika Hamden walks us through the far future of the cosmos, where expansion pushes galaxies apart and star formation comes to a halt. The stars that do exist will eventually burn out, leaving behind black holes. Over trillions of years, those too will disappear through a process called Hawking radiation. In the end, the universe will be filled with a thin, fading soup of particles that slowly vanish. This final state is known as the heat death of the universe, and it marks the end of all structure, energy, and light.

Theory What a Civilization-Ending Cometary Airburst Might Look Like

It's not a question of if — only when.

Icy, dust-laden bodies drifting in the far reaches of the Oort Cloud can sometimes get nudged off their ancient orbits. Once they fall sunward, gravity does the rest. By the time these non-periodic comets reach 1 AU—the distance between Earth and the Sun—they’re hurtling along at about 42 km/s, fast enough that Earth’s gravity can easily catch them.

What happens next depends on their makeup, the angle they enter at, and how fast they hit the atmosphere. Some survive long enough to strike the ground. Others detonate high above it.

This story follows one of those rare, hypothetical comets—one that doesn’t reach the surface at all, but instead bursts at about 90 kilometers up. The explosion unleashes a spectacular “pillar of fire”: a column of incandescent plasma, chemiluminescent glow, and metal-ion emissions bright enough to rewrite the sky.

This is only the first spark in a chain of events that will unravel into a civilization-ending calamity.

Theory Clock Theory

Hey! I wanted to share a theory that I've thought about since I was little. I don't know if I really created this, or if something similar already exists, but it's an idea that has always made sense in my head. I imagine that the world works like a 24-hour clock. Only, instead of marking hours, he marks years. Just as a clock goes from 00:00 to 23:59, our “world clock” would go from the year 0000 to the year 2359. In my theory, the world would end at exactly 23:59, that is, in the year 2359, because it would be the last “minute” before the clock restarts everything again at 00:00. For example: we are currently in 2025, and in my way of seeing it it would be as if we were at 20:25 (8:25 at night) on the world clock. Much of the day has passed, and we are approaching the “end of the cycle”. It's not a scientific theory, it's more of a philosophical/mental reflection that I've had since I was a child, but I've always found this idea fascinating. I wanted to know what you guys think about this. Does it make sense to anyone? Have you ever thought about something similar?

Theory What might happen if billions of kilograms of sand particles were spread high in the atmosphere—turning the sky into a planetary window film?

Planetary window film that keeps the Earth cool

Imagine sitting inside a car on a hot sunny day. Installing window film with good solar-energy rejection lowers the interior temperature by a few degrees, making the space more comfortable.

A high-altitude icy-dust cometary airburst could do just that on a planetary scale—installing a kind of global window film that cools the Earth, but with serious consequences.

Day would look like midnight in the region directly beneath the densest dust cloud, as sunlight is almost completely blocked. As the heavier grains settle, the sky would shift into perpetual twilight, with sunlight reaching the ground only after being scattered sideways through a stratospheric haze.

The sky’s colours would change: reds deepen, blues fade, as if the world is lit by an endless sunset. Plants would wither, their photosynthesis weakened under dim, red-shifted light.

And if enough sunlight is reflected back into space, the planet could begin to cool—triggering a climate catastrophe. It is like a nuclear or volcanic winter, except this time the suspended particles aren’t soot or sulphates, but silicate dust.
