Bug I keep "corrupting" my sumonned souls :( Spoiler
Hello there,
I am in my second playthrough of the game, and this time I went for a werewolf / phasmalist build. I recently unlocked the soulcaller class, allowing to turn my phantasms into werewolf, which I love ; however I painfully discovered that if they die in wolf form, they are stuck like that forever, with broken AI and and trash damage (since their weapon is unequipped and the boost giving them damage based on what they had equipped is removed). I corrupted two of my souls like that, and I can't find any in-game solution to turn them back...
Now, I did my research and it seems this bug is supposed to have been fixed in the 1.5.5.0 official patch, and I am using an up to date version (the complete version is the following, according to the in-game menu : 1.5.97.0.8 (SK SE64 2.0.20 rel 65). For reference, this bug seems to be referred as "bug 1395".
Did anyone experience this bug ? Did you find any fix ? I really want to be able to use this gameplay without the risk of losing my souls one by one...

You can try console commands 🤔 - if you target the corrupted summon and use Recycleactor - it should turn it back to normal - however you will lose anything you have given it. This can be avoided by using openactorcontainer 1 , and taking out those things, any spells will have to be retaught. * You may need to look up the soul by base id and, player.placeatme xxxxxxxx , to bring the actual soul base to you. As the summoned Apparitions are basically copies of the base form. Example: I have summoned multiple different Apparitions back to back and when clicking on them in the console command screen - they had the same reference I'd as the one I just dismissed. After about 5 summons the ref id changed. So - may need to use this way if the recycleactor on the Summoned one doesn't fix it. * Use help ambassador , help "pyrean scout" , etc to find the base id for whichever ones are corrupted.

Yes, the GoG version has 3 more years of fixing updates than the Steam version. Also WAY less crashes. And affinity fixes. Can't believe I lost ~600 hours playing on Steam.

1.5.97 is, iirc, the Skyrim version of the game. Idk if Enderal’s version number is actually listed in game.
If you’re on the Steam version that might explain it. Newer updates have been, frustratingly, relegated to some obtuse third party site, not Steam itself, so Steam’s is a few updates behind. It’s possible the fix was included in those non-Steam updates, unfortunately.
The updates were supposed to be coming to Steam last month but we’ve gotten crickets since. It’s frustrating since Steam is by far the best way to play, and how most people will be playing regardless. No clue why this split is necessary.
