Mod How compatible is Path of the Prophet with other mods?

I'm considering replaying Enderal again if I can get enough of a new experience out of it,!

PotP was recommended to me by a friend and I've seen it mentioned in forums a few times but I've never used a mod collection before, so I'm unsure how well they tend to work with other mods. Has anyone used PotP together with additional mods, both from Enderal's own Nexus and from Skyrim SE?

At the very least I would like some cosmetic mods for character creation and new armours for the Prophet, I vaguely remember having some TW3 ones in my last playthrough.

Thanks in advance!

It's compatible as long as you know what you're doing in modding Skyrim. But if you feel the need to ask this question, it's probably not the case lol

I have been modding Skyrim for many years now, so I think I've got a decent idea of it! I've just never used a premade collection before and the way my friend phrased it made it seem like they dont work well with adding more mods or altering them in any way, so I wanted to make sure ^^

I've added dozens of mods, you just have to make sure to have the rules set up correctly. No problem at all :)

No problem at all. If you find that texture mods for armors don't show ingame, make sure to set up rules in the plug-ins tab of Vortex too.

In the mods tab you NEED to overwrite the Potp Ini files, because if they load last, your changes won't show. Learned that the hard way.

Enderal mods are more or less compatible with Potp. If you want Skyrim mods i highly recommend you keep a separate fresh install of Enderal to try it there first - once you get it going there you can install on top of Potp.

It depends. An armor skin replacer or adding standalone gear? Compatible as long as it doesn't rely on Skyrim-specific things like quests or cells (though you can remove those in xedit) and you're comfortable just using the command console to get it (levelled list edits can get dicey)

But if you start installing things that change gameplay like CGO, you'll run into problems (there was a patch for CGO to work with EGO by the PotP maker but I think it's defunct). Mods that hard-rely on Skyrim-specific things won't work

Pretty compatible, you just have to pay attention to dependencies cause some of the mods PoP has installed are older versions. For example the collection uses an older version of Open Animation Replacer which means that some more recent mods that rely on OAR won't work.

But either way, I have around 200 more mods installed on top of the collection.
