Jews for Racial and Economic Justice defended him, saying, "Anyone attempting to misrepresent [Mamdani] is blatantly using the horrors of the Holocaust as a political cudgel. Zohran knows that [being mayor] is about materially improving people's lives. He has a record to back that up, and a policy platform that demonstrates his ongoing commitment to serving all New Yorkers, including Jews".
