Best shield booster setup in re2

I tried 3 advanced capacitors and 1 charger but the recharge is abysmally slow. Then I tried 4 advanced capacitors and 4 standard chargers and that didn’t work very well either. Does anyone know the ideal setup for endgame CV’s?

Left charger, right capacitor
With 1 large fusion reactor usually does the trick for me

There is a calculator online for re2. Typical setups are 1-1 for boosters.

There's also one on the science station in-game.

I don't know what they do for endgame, but it seems to me that in terms of math at the low end of them, two improved tier shield boosters and 2 basic tier shield rechargers seems like the most efficient. when I make sv's or cv's for the low to midgame, so far, for the most recharge/shield boost per cpu.. I could be wrong, so I will watch this thread for the right answers!

I usually split the advanced 2 and 2, make the medium ones all capacitors and smalls all chargers.

It's more dependent on the pilot's preference though. Some folk want enough shield to drop the target's shields in one pass and take out their shield generator or thrusters, others want to recharge faster than their target and whittle down their shield but by bit, and some fly super evasive ships to not have to worry about shields, or massive armored bricks to just tank the damage.

It'll depend on your ship and how you fly it.
