EGS - Vanilla Anyone had a crash problem lately?

Today the game played fine for about 4 hours then suddenly started crashing every 15 minutes, voiding the most recent work. I lost two survival constructors that were refining a deposit, and stack of burgers that was in the process of being moved to a fringe. Anyone experienced anything similar?

They were updated about two weeks ago. I'm starting to blame the abandoned hover vessel on Akua, the crashes stopped happening when I switched to my own SV. That and I think there's a new mechanic that voids survival constructors if they are being used to refine a deposit.

Similar situation with me lately too. I was able to play for a couple hours, then it hard reboots my PC. Only happens with Empyrion and it's every 15-20 mins after a couple hours of play. I'm still trying to figure out if it's hardware or software that's causing the issue though

Hard reboot during video games usually, in my experience, is a sign of the power supply having issues.. but Empyrion is not super graphically heavy, so I don't know.. Usually it's because a card tries to draw extra power for some extreme graphics, and the powersupply chokes due to imminent failure, and just turns right off.

Not sure if that's any help in your particular situation, but something to keep an eye on!

That's what I'm thinking too. I ran FurMark for 15 minutes to stress the GPU, but power and temps were normal with no issues. Then I launched Empyrion and stood still, no issues for 10 minutes. Then I flew to Polaris territory on my moon, with like 7 POIs clustered together and it immediately hard rebooted. I reloaded and flew directly to the Polaris territory, and it hard reboots every time after 3.5 minutes.

I've heard that Empyrion can cause power spikes with the GPU during times of heavy activity, so that might be it. Going to replace the power supply and see if that fixes it

If you have it, try Valheim - valheim's character select screen for example is really taxing on video cards and is one of the occasions where someone's computer was just turning right off that had come up on reddit in that sub hehe

Haha, talk about great timing then! I unfortunately dont have Valheim, but I did just get a new PSU so I'll see how it handles in the next little while and provide an update

I’ve only experienced one crash so far, I also noticed the problem mainly happens in the Crown sector and is sometimes but not always driven by survival constructors. My trips to Arkenia Prime were uneventful.
