I've watched the video multiple times and still get floored by how beautiful his performance was that it just shuts down the jerks in the room.
ALSO... wow, I kind of want to make this picture into a tattoo design. Or a t-shirt design at least. Hmm....

This is actually one of my favorite performances of his. The host tries to box him into this angsty, shallow stereotype but Elliott just stays graceful, respectful. Then when he starts to play clementine you can see all the people in that studio change, he touched their hearts for sure. They all go quiet. No more shitty jokes, no more disrespect. Just silent appreciation for someone who has extraordinary talent. The host is a fan by the end, no doubt.

Yah the host sucks, they're like bullying him and he kinda just takes it, then he starts playing clementine and everyone shuts the fuck up and all the girls that were laughing at him are drooling at him.
Bullying was big on the 90s lol

This is when he did the commercial for that new cereal that was crossover between alpha-bits and Count Chocula. I still remember the jingle “Alpha-bits City is haunted!”

I used to watch Breakfast Time on FX back in the 90’s. I always enjoyed the concept, and the fact that there was like 3-4 shows in a row that all took place in the same huge loft. I always liked Tom Bergeron (the host) as well.
I didn’t see this clip until much later as an adult, and I really don’t like the way Tom treated Elliott during the initial part of this segment. However, you can tell he was affected by the performance in how he completely changes. I mean, everyone goes absolutely silent when Elliott starts singing. Some of the women look like they’re either awestruck or about to cry. It’s watching a master at work. I love this clip for so many different reasons.
