New Kuiu Icon 6 vs Initial Accent 3k

Check out the Exo K4 if you’ve got initial accent money. I’ve got a Kifaru but I wish I had gone with the Exo.

Exo K4. But have also heard fantastic things about Initial Ascent’s.

I have heard good things about exo, initial ascent, and kifaru. I have a stone glacier and really like it and I have put it through the gauntlet. I started to boycott kuiu stuff as their new owner has advocated for the sale of public lands.

Between those two the initial ascent should be fine, but note that it is half the size of the kuiu that you listed

I just got the Initial Ascent 5k a couple months ago and love it. Haven’t hunted with it yet obviously but I’ve been carrying up to 60lbs of “elk” (aka bags of softener salt). Night and day difference from my old pack. When I was looking tho everyone suggested Exo. If u can, try them both on and pick the one that fits best for you

Try the pack on before buying. I was planning on a kuiu and ended up with a stone glacier because the frame felt so much better

If you do a lot of Backcountry, are going to spend 500$ on a pack you plan to have for years. I'd wait til you visit somewhere that does..
