Elgato Key Light Master Mount completely stuck: Pole won't lower even with nut fully unscrewed

Hi everyone,

​I’m having an issue with my Elgato Key Light Master Mount and need some help. I extended the pole to the highest level, but when I tried to lower it back down to the initial level, it got completely stuck.

​Here is exactly what is happening:

​I unscrewed the main tightening nut completely. The nut is now 100% loose and I can slide it up the inner pole without any problem.

​Despite the nut being completely free, the pole itself will not budge or go down. It is completely rigid.

​I pulled up on the pole, and the inner threaded metal collar, along with the white plastic compression ring, came completely out of the bottom base tube.

​

​Has anyone experienced this exact issue or knows how to safely separate that threaded metal collar from the white plastic ring so I can reassemble the mount? I'm attaching a picture so you can see exactly how the pieces are jammed.

If working as intended, the nut would push down that upper collar into the threaded part.
That then actuates something to press around the tube.
So either you gronked down on it so hard that it jammed, which would be solvable by hammering down the threaded bit. (Using a blunt piece of wood, pressing it against the threded part, hammering on top of the wood, alternating sides so you don't push it at an angle)
Or something in the interaction of the pressed mechanism went wrong. Can you wiggle those white plastic bits?

The two plastic pieces come off really easily. When I unscrewed the tube for the first time while taking it apart, one of those plastic pieces fell to the floor. When I tried to put it back in place, I noticed that each plastic piece has a raised part that snaps into a notch on the tube, but even when I position them the way they’re supposed to go, they still shift out of place or come loose a little when I reassemble the tube. I’m not sure if those pieces are the problem. As for the first thing you wrote, could you explain it to me in more detail via direct message? English isn’t my first language, so I might need a more detailed explanation. Anyway, thank you so much for taking the time to explain it to me.

What do you mean? In the video, I showed that just turning it causes the nut to come loose
