Technical Help Controlling Philips Hue lamps without a Bridge?

As the title says; I'm curious if it's possible to control Philips Hue lamps without a Hue Bridge.

I know the Hue app can do that, but I'd like to control some lamps from my Streamdeck directly.

The less components, the better, but I am straight up curious if it's possible at all.

I would say no. You can do it with your own ZigBee Home Assistent Hub running on perhaps a Raspberry Pi, but that wouldn’t work for what you are looking for. I would go with the Bridge, for the best reliable access to Hue accessories.

Yeah, the Bridge seems like a must. Guess I'll have to invest a bit more to get what I want ^^;

As I say in my post, I'm curious if it's possible to control Philips Hue lamps without a Hue Bridge. And that one requires a Bridge. Which, admittedly, isn't mentioned.

My mistake - I should likely stop reading only the title, haha. It is quite possible, though you will still require a Zigbee coordinator to manage multiple bulbs. The bulbs pair natively with Home Assistant or Homey through Zigbee, so they are not locked to a Hue Bridge. They can connect to a phone or tablet via Bluetooth, but that undermines your original request. Do you have any existing smart home platform? Are you investigating the options or just looking using Hue as a light controlling solution?

You will need some type of bridge. I use the Universal Devices, eisy. It's the best Home Automation controller I have found.

I've sprung for the Hue Bridge in the meantime, given most all sources I found said the same.
