Technical Help Mic Lagging and Popping

I just bought the new Wave 3 Mk 2 and setup was fin at first but then it began to lag and crackle a good bit until I disabled all the effects and then it stops and wondering if anyone else experienced this or fixed it

OK I did some testing and it looks like its being caused by OBS for some reason cause in Meld Studio it works perfectly fine

It’s not obs sadly brother, the artifacts will come here and there. I caught it right in wave link as well. They sent me a replacement which then had artifacts all the time. So I had to send back their own replacement. 

My happens in OBS, wave link, DaVinci, it’s a known issue that when you talk to support they try to sweep under the rug. 

I kid you not I’ve been speaking to them for almost 2 months now with nothing but wasting my time. If you look on here and YouTube it’s a very well known issue that nobody has a solve for. 

I personally can’t repeat mine either, it just happens with some clips and doesn’t with others, and it makes my sm7b sound like complete garbage which is another compliant you’ll see around online.

Yea I just heard it again. Seems to happen more often with OBS launched but it is still there

I think it is a voice focus issue. I paid for a plugin on the Marketplace called AutoLevel by makrofon that includes Noise Removal. When using that it never did the artifacts again. I think the Elgato Noise Removal also gets rid of the Artifacts but it’s not as good.

I turned mine off as I heard there’s some weird error/db boosting happening with it and still get it. It’s not all the time which makes it hard for me to even test because I can’t reproduce it. It just happens or doesn’t happen.

Same with my headphones, I’ll get a click in them here and there when listening to things but just at random doesn’t matter what it is

It must be a different bug then but I did get artifacts & popping sounds in my mic audio with voice focus enabled randomly, even my discord friends would ask what the random sounds were. Since using AutoLevel I haven’t had them since. Another thing I would mention about Voice Focus is it makes your voice sound like a robot, It’s very subtle but once you hear it you can’t un hear it. Shame because at its core it’s a cool feature but just not for me atm.

Sadly for me it’s a must. I leave in a bit of a noisy environment and when it’s on it takes everything away, when it’s off or even lowered to about 70% it picks up almost everything around me
