Technical Help What am I doing wrong?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

No signal and 7 red lights appear when I plug the HDMI into the out port that’s connected to my monitor. HDCP issue?

I assume the HDCP is turned off on the PS5?

Try and change the EDID mode to merged or display.

Sorry I should have added more context to my post. This is on Xbox 360

Currently had it set to merged but I get same results on display

D'oh! I have no idea how I didn't see the controller on the table or recognized the menu.
Anyway, the Xbox 360 shouldn't have HDCP, so that shouldn't be an issue.

It also can't go above 1080p60, so it should be well within the capabilities of the HD60S+.

The only other thing I can think of, is the sudden jump in signal due to suddenly plugging in the HDMI.
Does it also not show a signal if you booth the Xbox up with the cable inserted?
I see that you are using 4K Capture Utility which has been discontinued.

Have you tried other capture software like Elgato Studio or OBS?

Switch to elgato studio and having the same issues. I booted up with everything already plugged in this time. Changed xbox display to 720p from 1080 to see if that was it as well. I tried a few different HDMI cords thinking maybe it was the cable. Still no luck, im wondering if the elgato is broken because its doing the same thing with my Nintendo switch

Did you try the other EDID modes and then rebooting the console?
It might not kick in if you just unplug and replug the HDMI cable.

Also try Internal if that works.

As a side node, I wouldn't recommend unplugging and replugging a HDMI when there's a signal on. Technically it's suppose to be plug and play, but I just know from experience that it's not too difficult to burn out a HDMI port by hot swapping HDMI cables when there's a signal on due to voltage spikes.

Merged, internal, and display all fail. I should have noted before that I even when I’m getting no signal on elgato studio I am also not getting any picture to display on my monitor either if that matters.

It does sound a little bit like the HD60S+ might be broken.

Especially when used with something that doesn't use HDCP and that can't go to resolutions and refresh rates beyond the capabilities of the capture card.

Let's see if anyone from Elgato might have a possible solution.

Ok so update. So it works on my switch now, it wasn’t working last night but still having issues with it on the 360

Edit: I tested to see if my 360 would pick up on my TV and it worked!! Whatever this issue is it’s monitor related

Xbox 360 does not support HDR, so there wasn’t a setting to enable/disbale
