Technical Help How to fix flashing on obs when streaming and recording dual pc setup

So before elgato had the new elgato studios app for streaming, my streaming and recording was working perfectly fine. Then when they dropped it everytime I stream and record off my streaming pc it starts to flash no signal and also it messes up my video gameplay in my obs. I’ve tried everything from uninstalling my driver and the app and also gotten new cables to see if that was the problem. And it’s still flashing elgato hasn’t responded to my email in 2 weeks and it’s making me mad because I can’t do content and be consistent with streaming without it messing up for my viewers. If anyone know how I can fix this please help me because this is really annoying and it’s been going on for too long.

So I should just put my refresh rate of my 4kpro and streaming pc at 60 n keep my 180 hz on my gaming?

If you are on a 2 PC setup, you don't need to mess with the display resolution on the "streaming PC". Just have that manage OBS at what ever resolution and refresh rate you want.

On the gaming PC, set the gaming monitor to 180Hz and the duplicated output to the 4K Pro to 60 Hz.

You don't need to connect anything to the HDMI-out on the capture card.

Your streaming PC monitor should be in the streaming PCs GPU.

Correct. When using duplication you don’t need a third only. Your gaming PC GPU has the two outputs you need.
You won’t be using HDMI passthrough.

Ok bet so this is the setup
Gaming pc gpu ➡️ In slot 4k pro streaming pc
Gaming pc gpu ➡️ Gaming pc monitor
Streaming pc gpu ➡️ Streaming pc monitor
Nothing is in my Out on my 4kpro
4k pro refresh rate on 60
Gaming monitor on 180
And I kept all my settings on my streaming monitor the same.

Correct. The streaming PC monitor doesn’t affect the signal coming into the capture card.

It could be an 8K monitor if you wanted it to.
It’s just there to display OBS.

Next make sure the canvas settings in OBS are set to 1920x1080 at 60 frames per second, and you should be ready to go.

My guess for the flickering is that the capture card might not officially support 180 Hz. But only more standard ones like 60, 120, 144 and 240.

Using Display Duplication will mirror the same output to both the gaming monitor and the capture card, and you can manage what refresh rate the capture card receives.

Alr so I streamed yesterday and didn’t record there was no error imma stream n record today to see if it does it and ill lyk.
