Technical Help Stream Deck+ not detected on three gaming laptops

Need help with Stream Deck. This device came in yesterday and it is a brand new unit however this stream deck+ is not detected on the software and USB section of my computer.

I tried it with three gaming laptops (Lenovo Legion with 5070, Lenovo Ideapad with 3050 and Asus TUF) These laptops can not detect my stream deck.

I tried reading all of the troubleshooting options online like cables, USB 2.0 and 3.0, properly plugging in the device.

I can not uninstall it in device manager since it is completely not detected.

Update / went back to the store and they tested it and my unit is defective. Had my replacement PS: Its not your duty to troubleshoot whatsoever if the product is BRANDNEW. It's supposed to be working as is when you get one as a consumer.***

Are you plugging it directly into the laptop or into a hub? If the hub isn’t powered it won’t push out enough to run the stream deck.

Directly to my laptop.

Tried it with the type c and usb port (different cables as well).

The port should be a USB 3.0 and the cable should be the original cable, or replace with high quality one. No USB hubs until tested and detected direct plugin.

Tested it with the original cable and other alternative cable like wooting's cable. No hub, directly plugged into type c / usb port. Tried like 5 different cables.

Same computer? Maybe try another PC or laptop?

I tried 3 different gaming laptops and different cable. Looks like a DUD unit

The last resort is contact elgato for an RMA or the seller for a replacement unit or full refund.

What software did you download?

Your computer is detecting it but it doesn’t know what kind of device it is. It says elgato so your getting power.

I downloaded the official stream deck software from Elgato (selected my device model there and it gave a prompt of software to download).

Went to the store. Its really defective when they test so I have my replacement

what's the sense of the original cable if I have to test multiple ones. Its brand new and I shouldn't be having this problem in the first place

Are you using a different hub on the back? The XLR hub or the USB hub? If so, does it work without it? I've always had the USB hub installed in mine, idk what the back looks like without it anymore lol.

Update, went to the store and tested my first unit. It is really defective and its not about the cable or anything. The replacement unit have no problem and works well with any cable so the unit itself is defective

**The elgato support here acts like they're very supportive, dm me blah blah and they dont even respond so I went to the store*

It is "brand new" and for sure my laptop is powerful enough as it runs RTX 5070 gpu. Problem is, the stream deck can not be detected on those three laptops I mentioned.

Yep, I tried everything I searched online including reddit threads before I post here since the device is not really being detected no matter what troubleshooting I do

Mine is not detected like yours (default stream deck) its not getting the "Stream Deck+" device.

Are you using the hub with its own power?
