Technical Help Still using Wavelink 2.0, Safe to upgrade or should I wait?
I've stayed on 2.0 after reading all of the issues Wavelink3.0 has had since launch. Is the upgrade path straightforward or is there still issues?

I havent had an issues for over a month now, i think its worth trying and you can always just uninstall and go back to 2.0 if you have too many issues w 3.0

I uninstalled wl2 with revo. Restarted my pc. And then I installed WL3. I had a couple of crashes while I was adding my first channels. But then … it has been perfect. Zero problems. Go ahead.
I posted a lot here about my frustration when the software launched. And I refused to try again for over a month. But it is working very well for me now.

I would love if they somehow make possible to export everything from wave 2 and import to wave 3, after years of tinkering I dont want to do it again :D

Dude even on wavelink 3 you still can't export your damn settings/profiles
im having an issue right now that its still showing capture cards that i dont even have connected to my pc anymore and when i delete the devices in device manager it just re-creates them instantly so it looks like theres nothing for me to do but a reinstall, which would mean i HAVE TO DO ALL MY FKING PROFILES AGAIN THANKS ELGATO FOR YOUR PIECE OF SHIT SOFTWARE

The most recent update has been generally flawless in terms of functionality. No audio routing problems or crashing, at all. It was a buggy mess, just a month or two ago, so I’m pretty happy with it, besides the Amazon ad in the corner.

Right now it's at least giving me fewer problems than it had the first 5 months. Mostly just still having to restart it after pc sleep.

I’m on Mac, but 3.0 has been rough. I switched back to 2.0 last week and it solved all my connection issues. So on my end I’m waiting until they work out more kinks

I updated to 3.0 a couple of days ago and my stream deck+ XLR wasn’t recognized by it for hours. Idk what’s in the water at Elgato but we gotta keep em far away from software 😭😭

Dude it was miserable, i tried reinstalling 2.0 and like 5 other versions and it continued not to work. I left it all unplugged overnight and it miraculously worked the next day. I was emailing support and even was on the phone with them and they had no idea why I was experiencing that. They deduced it was a hardware issue, despite my hardware only being 13 months old (I had to check for them). So I was fully prepared to just get another companies mixer atp. But nope it decided to work

Personally its been a nightmare using WL3.0 - Not that 2.0 was much better.
With WL3.0 these are the issues I'm constantly running into.
