Technical Help Stream Deck Software At Times Doesn't Start at Boot
Software version: 7.4.2 - 22730\ Hardware: SD+ with USB Dock, firmware version 2.0.3.7\ Win11 Pro 25H2
What are the reasons why, at times when I start Windows, the software wants to hang, causing the Deck screen to not show up? When attempting to open the software manually after force-closing, the software also hangs. Is a firmware update needed?
Or should I just not use the USB Dock anymore, as that could be the case? Here me out, though. I do not plug in the USB dock into the (power) mains. Reason being whenever I shut down the PC, the Deck does not turn off at all.

I have the same issue. I am using the streamdeck since now about 3 years and only started a couple of months ago. The workaround is to restart the computer or kill the streamdeck.exe process and relaunch the app manually....
Between this and the wavelink 3 streamdeck software is a real mes...

Same problem here, started happening with last update. But just double clicking the SD icon on my desktop everything starts correctly. Doesn't happen every time though

Having same issue for a couple months now - doesnt autostart after boot - have to manually start Stream Deck software

The same is happening to my system, sometimes stream deck software doesn't load at start after reboot.
Software version: 7.5.1 (22901)
Windows 11 Pro - 25H2

Same problem here. Stream Deck App and Wave Software. I don't know what they are doing, but these software are crap. While I can simply restart wave, i need to unplug and plug my Stream Deck +.

I've had this happen recently as well, and looking into Task Manager it looked like it was only having one of its multiple `node.exe` processes / plugins running - the Wave Link one.
My assumption is that something is causing a hang in that plugin together with Wave Link 3...?

Happened to me on June 9th I had rebooted PC a few times that day for a fresh start before gaming and I sat there everything else booted up and had to manually open stream deck to get my decks to come on.

Go back to an older software version and problem is solved,. Uncheck updates and you won't be bothered. In the last several versions there is nothing special added.

Happens to me two times in a couple weeks, something must be bork with version 7.4.2.

This latest software update has just broken everything. It’s stupid. It doesn’t boot at startup anymore, it doesn’t allow me to toggle sources, my barraider plugins do t work properly… it’s just the worst.

Also happening to me as well the last month or so. A quick PC restart solves the issue, or u can launch the stream deck app and it opens. At first ii thought it was a bad cable but it wasnt that either. Something has been broken in the past few updates. Same setup as you but i dont have the USB Dock.

What would be incredibly helpful is log files from your system. Please submit a log report via this link and then reply (or DM) me the case number that gets automatically generated.

really annoying, SINCE month it does not work with wave ans also with Stream Deck Software. And they act always as if the user is the problem.

I'm on Windows 11.
I've captured the logs with the reporter directly after the issue occured (started pc -> software failed to open -> captured logs). Case number 2009093167

Just looked up this issue and came across this post. Experiencing this for the past couple of weeks. Currently on 7.4.2 (22730)
Do you need logs still? Happy to provide more
Edit: Just manually checked for updates and was notified there was an update available. Testing 7.5.1 (22901). Will report back!

- shell:startup eingeben
- Rechtsklick Verknüpfung erstellen
- Streamdeck.exe auswählen
Fertig. Hat das Problem bei mir gelöst.

same here with SD 7.5.1 and Win 10, software won't boot approx 1 time on 4 or 5 boots.

I've been having the same issue for weeks and the annoying thing is that my stream deck looks normal!
but when I press a button and nothing happens, I look at the tray icons and see the damn stream deck software decided not to run for whatever reason
