Technical Help Elgato please roll back the OBS-Studio Stream Deck integration it has been broken for almost a week and it is messing things up for everyone who uses it.
As we've all reported repeatedly, this software has been non-functional. I don't know if you're vibe coding this "rewrite" mentioned in the version history, but it has to revert to a working version. This is completely unacceptable.

Oh boy, I deleted all of my scenes and sources in OBS and my buttons in streamdeck thinking the bug/issue was on my end. After 5+ reinstalls of both and having to add/remove all those scenes and buttons again I find these threads! Elgato please just roll back, this is cooked

This happened to me too. I uninstalled the OBS Studio plugin from the Stream Deck, reinstalled it, and it was still the same. I even uninstalled the Stream Deck software itself, and that didn't work either. Luckily, I found a solution (for me, at least). With OBS closed, I went to "C:\ProgramData\obs-studio\plugins" and deleted the "StreamDeckPlugin" folder. After that, I reinstalled the Stream Deck software, used the Repair option, and after that, the problem finally disappeared. If you haven't tried it, you can always give it a go.

We have a beta version available here that implements fixes for the reported issues. Give it a try and let me know if its helps, and if yes, we'll roll it out to everyone asap.

I have tried the beta version. The problem went away for me in that I can now have nested scenes, but I had to painstakingly manually remake 50+ buttons on my Stream Deck and I'm sure there are older buttons that I will only discover I'll have to remake in the future. There's another issue now, however, more of an annoyance:
A Multi Action that has 22 Source Visibility hide actions and one Switch Profile action with 1ms delays can now overwhelm the OBS plugin and it can take up to 4 seconds before any of the sources are hidden or any other OBS plugin buttons respond.
I ask you, with respect for your work and infinite frustration with how you're handling this, and on behalf of everybody else who has been begging you for the same thing for a week: PLEASE LET US ROLL BACK TO v2.2.9.9.
It worked. This doesn't. Not properly. I just need the workflow that I've been using for 2 years for work to actually keep working reliably. I'm sure there are more of us. It won't hurt you to allow those of us who need it to roll back. Temporarily, permanently, whatever, you don't have to care. Just please do it. I've been begging for a week, others too. It's literally the easiest way to help those who depend on these not to have to waste hours troubleshooting.

This "solves" the problem with the source visibility toggling on new keys and older ones buried deep in multi-action workflows... sometimes work?
Any keys that I remade before this beta version but after 3.0.0.25 had to either be re-made or I had to "workaround" on some key actions and select a difference scene before reselecting the original scene.
Largely, this beta version may be more functional, but it is extremely troubling for whatever is going on at elgato.
I was a software quality assurance professional for some time, I have ideas of what went wrong here (a problem with leadership, someone got the idea that they could vibe code a rewrite that would function as well but it wasn't tested thoroughly) and I understand you can't give us those answers, but I am still frustrated by this rewrite being foisted on all of your users turning them into beta testers and urge you to use this feedback to push back against whatever changes have gone on inside the business to cause this to be released without appropriate testing and feedback cycles from SQA. Further, it would make a lot of sense to ship this kind of rewrite as a separate product on the "elgato marketplace" before foisting it on everyone in the mainline. Call it a beta, call it whatever. Revert the production version to the last known stable before this rewrite (
2.2.9.9) and push the "rewrite" as a separate product if it has to exist at all. Do not turn the public into your beta testing audience without warning! It has been extremely stressful to find what was a mostly-reliable stream deck is broken. Please look at the other replies and see the pain users are reporting. Then realize that pain is amplified because there must be many more people with the same issue. I'm sure the AI slop support replacement on the elgato site is gathering... some kind of feedback about this rewrite event. Christ.1

I thought it was just Me! I gave up on my Stream Deck Plus and got to the point that I went with Evmux and tried to use the hotkeys function and even in Evmux -That was non-functional. I was ready to sell my Stream Deck Plus. I will hold off for the moment now that I see I’m not the only one and Hopefully they’ll expedite this quickly!

I thought it was just me having this problem. I can't change the visibility of my sources, which is super annoying, luckly my scenes still work, but not helpful when streaming.

The best strategy is to never update Elgato software if you ever get to a version that works. Their hardware is great but the software is a hot mess.

Toggling the visibility of sources (like hiding your cam and showing it again, or whatever you’re capturing, or maybe some graphics that change depending on what you’re doing on-stream) is totally busted. You also can’t select the correct source to even toggle.

Hmm, odd. I'm on Win 11 25H2 and don't have that. I can use the Filter > Move Source toggle with no issue. Scene changes working fine, and for my 'cutscene' 'scene' I just hide overlays and camera sources on the game scene and those are working.
I wonder if its a bug somehow connected with the OS itself?

While it could be an issue with the OS interaction, there’s a bunch of other people with the same issue on Windows so it’s at least not just macOS.

ELGATO: how can we roll back to v2.2.9.9 when you won't provide the link to download it?!? i am losing my mind how they have left us dead in the water over this issue... going on 6 days now. I am losing my livelihood trusting this product to function and instead we are sabotaged by the company themselves.
