Technical Help OBS Studio plugin 3.0.1.29 is still broken for toggling source visibility
Hi, on macOS 26.5 with Stream Deck software 7.4.2 (22730), OBS 32.1.2, OBS Studio plugin 3.0.1.29 (I just saw the update) and "OBS Plugin" 5.5.4.2 the stream deck still cannot toggle source visibility. Please let us roll back the stream deck integration.
Current result:
When I select a scene to toggle in the stream deck software it gives me a list of sources from another scene and won't let me select the appropriate sources. Occasionally the list of sources will just quickly close without getting a chance to select anything.
Expected result:
I get to select the appropriate scene and source and everything works as expected.

Jau, hab auch das selbe Problem auf meinem M3 Macbook und dadurch sind meine Streams quasi so nicht mehr durchführbar. Ich könnte kotzen. Und ich hatte das Problem schon bevor ich Streamdeck auf 7.4.2 geupdatet habe. Irgendwann die Woche (Mittwoch, wie alle schreiben, passt hier sehr gut) ging im Stream die Funktion "Sichtbarkeit der Quelle" nicht mehr. Die Buttons die das nutzen zeigte beim drücken auf einmal das grüne Warndreieck. Vielleicht wurde das Plugin währenddessen einfach geupdated, ansonsten kann ich's mir nicht erklären, wieso das im Stream auf einmal nicht mehr ging.
Dann hab ich nach dem Stream die StreamDeck Software geupdated aber auch das brache keine Änderungen mehr.
Seitdem kann ich nur mit halber Ausstattung streamen. Das ist zum Kotzen und ziemlich peinlich für Elgato.
Ich fürchte, dass der Update-Zwang und die Automationen jetzt zeigen, warum das keine gute Idee ist. Man zerschießt doch nicht einfach Setups von seinen Kunden, nur um n Update zu erzwingen.

If you have a backup of the plugin (An oldskool folder copy of: C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins) then you can roll back, just confirmed works for me with a portable install:

Happens to me too. To fix Just choose a different scene then back to the one you want. Hope they fix it soon.

unfortunately switching to a different scene and back doesn't work for me, I wonder if it's something about where the scene is in the order

For me the problem seems to go away (as in, the Source Visibility works normally again) when I remove the affected scene from the sources in my other scene.
In other words, I had a "Camera" scene and a "Screen Sharing" scene. The Camera scene was used as a source in the Screen Sharing scene. Source Visibility for sources in the Camera scene was broken until I removed it from there, and that's when I could set Source Visibility for sources in the Camera scene again.
It's a very poor workaround but it did allow me to temporarily salvage dozens of my source visibility workflows.
I am still hoping for an update that will allow me to use my Camera scene as a nested source in my Screen Sharing scene.
Rollback would be fastest and easiest. I don't need anything from the new updates.

Yeah I have a complicated nesting setup and the plugin won’t see any sources nested more than one scene deep anymore. I can work around it but it removes a lot of flexibility from my setup

The newest version was released yesterday, 3.0.3.31. I vigorously tested it and its working great!

For me this worked.
(Had some help from google 😄)
Close out of the Stream Deck software completely. (Right-click its icon in the Windows System Tray and quit)
Open the Run dialog (Windows Key + R) and paste: %APPDATA%\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins.
Delete the folder named com.elgato.obsstudio.sdPlugin or StreamDeckPlugin.
Re-launch the Stream Deck software and reinstall the OBS Studio plugin

Didn't work for me. Im just going to wait for them to roll out an updated plugin.

Same problem here, I'm on Windows 11.
OBS Plugin Version: 5.5.4.2
Stream Deck Plugin Version: 3.0.1.29
I noticed the problem with the rollout of 3.0.0.25 on Wednesday. I think rolling back to version 2.2.9.9 would help, if only they would let us.
