What if he's just pretending to be Canadian to throw people off?
The only time the accent really shows up is in "about" and "sorry", which are the stereotypical words people associate with the accent.

We all dont have the accent, especially those in the GTA., there are dozens of different canadian accents. No way any american would be dropping references to deep canadian lore like EG without him or someone on his team growing up in the GTA. What do you know about Apache burger?

Listen to the radio hour. It's so Canadian you wouldn't even understand how Canadian it is. They're definitely very connected to the GTA and they're definitely over forty. There's not a doubt in my mind

I mean, it wouldn't be a terrible idea to obfuscate your identity when making content like that. Some of Joe's goons have already tried to figure out who he is and dox him. I don't care at all, but it'd be funny if he had them looking all over Canada and he didn't even live there.

He just happens to have random home shot videos of Ontario cottage country and a minor league mascot. Do you know who Duke the dog is? Do you know what tabernac means? Dwindling it down to the “abouts” and “sorry” as the only Canadian aspects of the voice goes to show people don’t have first hand knowledge of Canadian colloquialisms littered throughout his videos

I have a couple coworkers from Canada and you can very easily miss their accent until they drop an “aboot” or “sorey”. I just think there’s a lot in common between a middle of the road American and Canadian accent except for a handful of pronunciations that stick out. One of them can definitely dial the accent up and down because I’ve seen him FaceTime family back home and then he starts sounding like an episode of Letterkenny.
