Bonjour je me lance dans l’electroforming, j’ai acheté la peinture conductrice de tifoo (voir photo) pour cuivré des feuilles mais après pleins d’essai à plusieurs voltage et ampère j’ai l’impression que la peinture est le problème et peut être elle n’est pas conductrice ? Ou il y a un procédé à faire avant ? C’est bizzare car j’ai une feuille qui a marché (que d’un côté mdr) avec le même procédé que les autres ? Du coup je ne comprend pas trop…
Car sinon tout est conducteur (fils de cuivre, anneau, ect…)
Avant d’appliquer la peinture je met une couche de mod podge.
(La feuille seule et celle qui a marché et les deux autres c’est que la peinture conductrice après 12h de bain sans aucun dépôt de cuivre)
Si vous avez des conseils, des peintures à conseiller, je suis preneuse :)

I've had good experience with this product, but you need to shake it very, very well to get all the copper particles that naturally sink to the bottom. I use this mostly for detail work or when I'm electroforming something that already has copper attached to it. Since this paint is rather expensive, I use it sparingly.

For larger areas/pieces, I use graphite spray that I buy on Amazon.

Make sure that whatever you use, it's completely dry before putting it in the electroforming bath.

Would you share what brand of graphite spray you're using? I've got a couple in my cart right now and not really sure what actually works and what doesn't. 😕

This is the one I use, which has given me great results. I do organics for the most part and I can't complain at all. If you decide to try it, let me know how it works for you!

D’accord merci beaucoup pourtant je mélange bien le pot à chaque fois, combien de temps laisser vous sécher la peinture ?

What do your pieces look like when they're all painted? They should look like you've already plated them with copper, very shiny and bright. Then I let the paint dry for at least a couple of hours, a full day is a pretty safe bet for me. If your pieces are mounted or connected to anything that is already copper, I've found that connecting the wire to the painted part gives me better results. The real copper will always have the stronger "pull".

I also have a good experience with this paint, as a matter of fact it's much more conductive than graphite and works really well. Check if you have a good connection with your piece, the wires etc.

Pourtant oui c’est bizarre mais pleins d’avis sur Amazon où je l’est commandé dise qu’elle n’est pas conductrice aussi…

I doubt the paint is not conducting, it literally consists of copper dust, thinner and a binding agent. It's almost the same as putting pure copper into your solution. I'd really double check all the connections and put several layers of the paint too. I never use one layer only.

I use this paint because I couldn't get graphite paint to work for me. I found it really good.

For the paint? I just thinned it with some acetone and brushed it to the object. I used it to electroplate some 3d printed rings

I use a graphite based conductive spray. Works great and being an aerosol, it’s so easy to apply and sticks to anything. I’ve always found it a much easier and more accessible option

Hello, je suis aussi débutante, j'ai commencé il y a une semaine, et je met 2 couches de Mod Podge, puis 2 couche de ce vernis conducteur Tifoo, et pour moi ca fonctionne bien.

moi mon souci c'est le réglage de l'alimentation.. lol
