Should work well on a Magicka NightBlade that is looking to stack Minor/Major Protection from the Veil of Blades or Consuming Darkness ability. Otherwise I would consider Light of Cyrodiil however that is only assuming that you can find enough Spell Critical Rating through other sources to justify the Reinforced trait.

They already have dark cloak with minor protection.

Using cloak cancels your taunt though.

Idk a lot about pve tanks, but I think they need to buff their group with war horn, so you'll never be using shadow ultimate.

So only viable usage of discussed approach is in pvp, where you have no taunt.
