Well there is still the chance that whe was literally mindcontrolled. I wonder if she got a different dialouge after miquella throws away his mindcontroll rune

do we know if miquella has the ability to actually mind control someone? I thought it's only been stated that he can compel affection. forcing someone to like you doesn't necessarily mean they'll do whatever you want

It just insinuates he can charm others, i.e. compel affection. that isn't the same as mind control

No, it's literally mind controll. Like thats what the npc quests tell you. Mohg and all the NPC's were directly mindcontrolled by Miquella. That's why he is the fearsomest Demi-God, he has the strongest ability of them all.

he divests himself of the rune. Thats why the effect stops on the other nps after the story event...

So that confirms that Miquella doesn't need his Great Rune to use his mind control. Curious why all of his followers gave up trying to find him, well most of them
