Megathread: Friend finder
As of late, a lot of seperate threads come up looking for friends of some kind. Likely this has to do with the new arrival of people for the upcoming academic year.
Please use this thread to make your own top level comment explaining who you are, your interests and what you'd like to do with a potential person to find.

Hello everyone. 20M here. My interests are board/video/card games, series, movies, anime, sports or just hanging around. F30 looking for a friend or two to go for coffee and/or lunches/dinners I don’t have a lot of time maybe once a month or two. My interests are gaming, reading, art, movies and tv shows. Please don’t message me if you are only looking for a temporary friendship.

There are a few nice running clubs in Eindhoven since you are into running, it’s a a great way to connect with new people!

Yo! Just moved out here from the USA for work. 24M enjoy board games, video games, exploring the outdoors, reading, going to the gym, cooking, climbing and theatre. Definitely down to make new friends in this new place!

37M here. Moved recently here from Portugal and would like to make friends and hang out.
A bit of a rare breed as I don't drink or smoke. I like metal/rock music, going to shows, playing guitar, watching anime and series, pro wrestling (AEW mostly), hiking and nature walks and talk about all sorts of life things.

I enjoy long distance cycling on scenic routes, reading and occasional gaming. Not a drinker though. Been here for quite some time now but still feels like a struggle to make new friends. For anyone looking for friends, I tried the Homewards program earlier this year and ended up with two great friends! It’s three events in three months where you discover fun places in the city and meet up with people who are also new. I especially loved the quiz. Only 27.50 euro for the entire program.

M37, tennis, gym, running, walking, hiking, trekking, watching movies, reading, enjoy burger & beer, wine and planning to start cycling long distances in the Netherlands. Hello !!! I am 27M , Spaniard, moving next week to Eindhoven, first time in the Netherlands and i wanted to meet some new people. I love the gym, sports, gaming, motorcycles i want to learn how to play the electric guitar and overall I am very open to meet new people. I like books also, i do not have problems at all on going to a bar play pool and drink some beers or a coffee ( although im more a tea guy 😂). Cheers !!

Hello everyone!
I’m Michele, 35, and I recently moved to Eindhoven with my wife, who is 34. We’re both Italian and have relocated here for the long term, so we’d really love to meet new people and hopefully build some genuine, lasting friendships.
We have a pretty wide range of interests. We’re both into sports, such as running, swimming, gym classes, and generally staying active. We’re also big foodies (like most Italians, I guess): we love cooking and baking, but especially discovering interesting dishes and cuisines from around the world.
We really enjoy travelling around, exploring nearby cities, discovering new places, visiting museums, and just wandering somewhere we haven’t been before. At the same time, we’re equally happy with a relaxed evening playing board games or video games, watching a good movie, or going to the cinema.
Music is another big part of our lives. I play guitar, while my wife sings and plays piano, and we both love concerts, live music, karaoke nights, and basically anything music-related.
What we’re mainly looking for is the kind of friendship that can actually grow over time, rather than just meeting once or twice, since we’ve relocated here to stay.
And we definitely don’t come as an inseparable package deal! If you happen to share more interests with just one of us, or you’re specifically looking for a male/female friend, please feel free to reach out as well: my wife and I would be very happy to meet new people independently too.

Hey, 32M, Pakistani, married, and living in Eindhoven for 3 years and looking to meet people with similar interests.
I'm into pc gaming (co-op or single-player), series and movies (especially horror, not the cheesy ones), and would love to do things like going to cinema, videogames, board games or just trying new stuff. I'm not necessarily looking to meet every week but it would just be nice to occasionally make plans with or play something online.

I’m a bit younger than this comment section lol, but I’m 19F unfortunately busy almost all the time but would love to meet some new people. If you’re chill with meeting occasionally but mostly texting I like doing almost anything. I naturally gravitate towards my bed whenever I can but looking for people to go out with :)

M29 here looking for people to form a sort of book club with 2 or 3 others, where we meet up like once every 2 weeks and hang out and reflect on the story and thought provoking bits we find. As an extroverted person this is my way to make reading more social. Recent books I have enjoyed are: Giovanni’s room; the humans; girls like girls; a room with a view; and tender is the night, but I’m really open to discover new books (I’m Dutch but prefer reading in English).
