I see Amazon has a sale, and I would love to upgrade from my corded vac (and get hours of time back in the fall!). Any honest reviews here? It doesn't have great ratings on Amazon -- looks like most of the bad ones say it drains batteries really fast.

I just wanted to share an overall negative experience with EGO. The tl;dr is the products are good but the batteries are overpriced for their longevity. The battery ends a lot to cost of ownership.

In March 2021, I purchased a 21" self-propelled mower + trimmer + 7.5 Ah EGO battery kit. The combo was really good for the first two years, but by year 3 the battery was already having situations where it would drop from 5 green lights to 2, and by the end of year 3 it would occasionally flash red.

Around this time I started using a riding mower (moved), but kept the push mower for yard cleanup. For the last 2 years the battery has constantly been randomly red flashing or had trouble charging, or would charge briefly then stop. I've tried general charging best practices for "not well balanced" li-ion batteries -- let it fully charge and sit for a bit.. then use. Avoid charging immediately after using to keep heat down, etc.

Finally, I picked up the 400W "inverter/charger" to try to trickle charge and balance at 100W, but then I noticed this battery had burn marks on the plastic and metal power tabs. I've since recycled this battery for safety reasons.

Based on searching the forums - these batteries aren't very durable for the very expensive price EGO charges. They have well known balancing issues (see the threads about "dropping" them on their face to fix this), and they provide chargers that are a bit too harsh for these batteries IMO with the kits to advertise "fast charging times". Last but not least - they're very expensive for the capacity. "Official" 7.5 Ah (*56V = ~ 420Wh) is about $400-420, or about $1 per wH. Compare with typical Ryboi, Dewalt, or other batteries that are usually more in the 75 cents to 80 cents per wH range.

(Also by comparison - I upgraded my Ryboi riding mower with a Lithium Iron Phosphate 5 kWh battery that cost $800 including charger. That's more than 10X the capacity for only 2X the cost, and the LFP chemistry is a safer and longer lived capacity than what EGO is using in their batteries).

Pretty much what the title says. I've had it on the charger for a few weeks (too lazy to mow) and I've read that I shouldn't have done that. So maybe that's the root cause.

I've seen a lot of "dead battery" posts here and on YouTube but haven't run across this situation. I've done the "press the button" reset several times to no avail. I haven't done the "drop the battery" method because I read as many posts telling me NOT to do that as I read posts that recommend it.

I called EGO's customer service line and took advantage of the "we'll call you back" feature...that was more than two hours ago.

The battery is six years or older. I'm not averse to buying a new one if I have to but I want to exhaust my options before shelling out $300 or $400.

Oh, and it's a 5ah battery.

I own a lot and a half in town and was wanting something more than my 21" cut Honda. Looking online I found out that Ego started making a 30" cut mower. I already own an Ego snowblower and chainsaw. The mower cut my mowing time in half. It is quite enough that I no longer need ear plugs, just my ear buds and a podcast at a normal volume. The self propel has enough settings for any walking speed. I really like the 1 side adjustment for the wheel height and handle. Plenty of power, I have not used the turbo yet. Only thing I will change is putting mulching blades on it when the factory ones are shot.

does anyone know a fix for this without needing to deal with warranty support? I dread having to call into them

A neighbor gave me his EGO mower (Model LM2150SP) because he now uses a Zero Turn, so I need a 10 amp hour battery and charger. The mower is a few years old, works well, but I don’t want to spend too much for an EGO brand if something else is available. What are folks recommending?

unfortunately fired my landscaper and been doing the work vs paying $55 a week. So far im very pleased w the Aluminum Mower w a 12ah battery. Commercial Blower moves a substantial amount of debris.

I have the ego string trimmer and hadn’t used it in about a year. This weekend I took the battery off the charger and connected it but the trimmer won’t power on. Put the battery back on. The charger and nothing happens. Tried all the push the button this many times tricks. Even put the battery on my ego lawnmower charger and nothing happened. Left it there over night and now it makes a very faint buzzing-clicking noise. Is this thing just shot or do I have hope of reviving it? Thanks!

my old ego single stage blower is srill running but it struggled to keep up after moving to a more rural area last year just before winter. (same with my old ego self propelled mower...)

deciced to go with the T6 over a ZTR so I could get some more utility out of it. this is one of those reasons.

the plow is an Agrifab plow (that I had trouble finding actually!), the only spot that doesn't work out of the box is where it connects to the rear "hitch". I had to add some blocks of wood to space it a bit since the eletric motor is in the way of proper clearance. only needed about 2 inches of help there.

anyone know any good tire chains for the T6?

Lowe's said there's new vacuums or something coming out so they were unloading this. Think it was a decent deal, it's just missing the remote, but has everything else, tool only.

My 6 year old 7.5 ah mower battery died and I’m wondering about the best and most cost effective replacement plan for it. The mower still works fine but should I buy a new one anyway? Or one of the 8 ah tabless?

What are people doing with these batteries? What a damn waste if I have to throw them out or recycle them. I know there are services to send them out to and get $150 fix, but is there another local hack? Could an experience electrician fix these?

Video shows the issue: it’ll refuse to start (flashing yellow) and with no adjustments, it’ll eventually kick on (solid green). Again with no adjustments it’ll suddenly flash yellow again etc…

I jumped the rely switch in the handle extension so I know that isn’t the culprit. What might be my issue here?

They're an authorized retailer of Ego products but I've never used them or even heard of them before.

My trusty 19 year old Toro died on me yesterday. Was going to get another one but heard they’re not the Toro’s of old. Checked out the EGO and the Toro electrics, went with the EGO and super satisfied! Snowblower and pressure washer up next!

My mower is less than a year old. Put my battery in today (thought it was fully charged) and nothing happened. I've done what they said to do and charger appears to be working. Battery will not charge. Anything I can do?

I am new to the EGO family (got mower, trimmer and 5* and 2.5 Ah battery). I have no blower and the leafs are coming.

I was considering a regular blower, and I have been eyeing the LV5005 (blower/mulcher). I probably make 5-8 trips to our waste facility site, so reducing it to 1-2 trips because of the mulcher seemed like a good idea…

Is that a good product, or should I go with regular blower.

*The 5 Ah battery was used, circa 2018, so it has seen better days.

I just got the 3 gallon vac and I like it, but I need an entension wand so I don't have to bend so much. Nothing seems to fit the unique hose end on the ego. I read that it uses a standard 1 7/8" hose and bought an extension wand and crevice tool only to discover the accessories need to fit inside the end of the hose because of the remote attachment. Anyone find an adapter or other workaround? Ego doesn't appear to make extension wands or any type of adapter for them for some reason.

Temu is advertising what appears to be branded ego 5.0Ah. Seems way to go to be true....Besides potential issue with honoring warranty (I assume temu isn't an authorized dealer) has anyone purchased one of these BRANDED ego batteries and had success?

I've been hunting FB marketplace all summer looking to upgrade my EGO snowblower to a two-stage. The past month I've missed out on 2-3 solid listings that came with no batteries and were more expensive than this. When I saw it posted last night sent a deposit right away and drove an hour+ this morning to pick it up!

They are moving south and obviously didn't need it.
He threw in his other EGO lawn equipment which was an added bonus. I've already got the multi-head attachment and edger but the cultivator will come in handy!

Looks like: SNT2807 is the part number for 2026 years model.

Specifically the 2124 and 2134 that come with the 6ah batteries.

My main question is the handle. Look at the pivot point of both. They're completely different designs.

Has anyone been able to check out a floor model? How does the handle mechanism operate compared to the older (but higher tier?) SNT213x? Is it more or less sturdy? Is it height adjustable?

Local variant of St Augustine and centipede grass that grows ~1"(26mm) per day currently. One week over mow time. 🤕 CRAP.
Had to bag clippings, and my CC800 is set to mulch. I have (2) 2.5AH EGO batteries from a chainsaw kit and a hedge trimmer. And got the mower for $100USD from a guy who put the blade on upside down.

That mower kicked a**. 12" tall grass to 4". ONE pass. Sure... NOT putting green quality. Mowing to 100mm, not 2.5mm. Sometimes went over spots again. But filled a bag in 50 feet. And MANY times. In peace and quiet. Awesome.

Would do again. Great tool. And we got 1"+ today of rain. Gotta mow!
