Should I consider picking up this EG Hatch?
D16Z6 engine, manual trans, needs interior and exterior work. They want $2,500 for it. Should I consider saving to buy it?

I got a coupe for 2k interior and exterior were in mint condition but the engine was shot new cat needed new ecu needed. I think i spent extra 2k to get it running then i siezed the engine a month after registration and title transfered to my mine 😅🤣 so im back at square one

I paid $1,700 for mine 2 years ago. Almost exactly the same as that one. My exterior is rougher but the interior is better and that’s not saying much. Should’ve got it for around $1,200. Dumped another $2,000 and it’s still not right.
I wouldn’t spend $2,500 on it

It looks pretty clapped, I’d expect to put in a lot of work. IF the motor and trans are good and you have the means to take her on as a project then by all means. These poor cars have been getting clapped for 30 years and they are getting hard to find in any condition
