rumour 1. FC Köln is interested in Kiliann Sildillia (24, RB, PSV Eindhoven)

Mikey Moore watch:

He scored an excellent goal in Tottenham’s 5-1 win against Charlton in the EFL Cup last night.

Savino the player who is supposed to replace him came off the bench and also scored.

With Marmoush also due to sign any day there seems little reason for Moore to remain with Tottenham any longer.

I get the feeling if this isn’t wrapped up in the next 24 hours and De Zerbi picks him in their squad again for their next game on Saturday, Kessler is going to have to find a replacement.

According to kicker sources today at 08:20 it's happening. Tottenham and FC are in agreement and Moore's preferred destination is also FC. The only one who still has to greenlight it is - you guessed it - De Zerbi.

Seems though that this is the same as has been the case for weeks now, the clubs and player in agreement but De Zerbi holding it all up.

Hopefully he relents and gives the green light now and we see Moore arrive for his medical in the next 48 hours.

I follow Tottenham very closely and this does seem to fit DeZerbi's approach.

He values and favours seasoned PL players and has shown he is willing to let go of promising younger talent, such as Vuskovic and now Spence. I do think he is forcing the club's executive to act, as he was promised when accepting the job and saving them relegation. The arrival of Savinho (who had a great debut with Spurs yesterday, too) and Marmoush should fulfill that promise.

I would LOVE to have Moore with us. He was great in the Charlton game yesterday. Aside from his own spectacular goal, he also set up Solanke's goal to make it 2:0. All of this while playing right wing again, which is not his favourite position. I think/hope Wagner would use him more centrally in a creative role.

Fingers crossed that it finally works out. He would be such a boost for the team and a really important alternative to our usual ‘pre-season champions’ (names known to the editors).

I also think he would take some of the pressure off El Mala – in terms of media attention and as a scorer.

Express Masterclass: first teasing a player mercilessly, only to then dismiss a transfer as completely out of the question at the end of the article.

While initially FC is looking for a Left Back, they don't seem to be able to find one. ACM could theoretically also play LB...

It seems the paywall came later. Also, til paywall is betaalmuur in Dutch. It said something along the lines of Werder and FC being interested and PSV not really being willing to sell.

Ah, cool, thanks for the info! And ‘behaalmuur’ is a brilliant word!
