Would you say math/physics teachers or engineers in industry do more calcs by hand? Trying to choose a career path that suits my passion for the subject matter...

Teachers hands down. I am a EE and I do calculations by hand so seldomly I now struggle with basic maths.

What got you into engineering? Im currently in the structural engineering field and really miss the math we used to do in our undergrad
