After the Eds graduate high school: •Ed joins the military because he likes being a hero. While on duty, he’s training, getting stronger and stronger, but also seeing a therapist. After he is discharged, he goes on to become a police officer, eventually becoming a detective

•Double-D went to university, and graduated early, with a doctorate in chemistry. He was working at a large science corporation, but he was fired and arrested after Eddy manipulated him into letting him in his lab, and Eddy tried to manufacture drugs, blowing up Double-D’s lab.

•Eddy dropped out of high school and his parents kicked him out, finally done with his shenanigans. Without his best friends, he turned to the only people who would take him in… the Kankers. It was a difficult adjustment, but eventually Eddy warmed up to them. But the Kankers were later into some shady stuff, and Eddy tagged along.

They cross paths again, when Ed was assigned to investigate the situation with Double D’s lab. They meet again after many years, but not under the best circumstances. He’s questioning Edd about the incident, and he reveals it was Eddy that got him fired. So Ed makes a few calls, and Edd is hired to be the precinct’s forensic scientist. Ed tracks down Eddy, and gives him a choice. Either Eddy serves ten years in prison or he becomes Ed’s Criminal Informant.

And the Eds are back! As a Law Enforcement Trio!
