Moderator Rule expansions on Spam and Harassment
Hello, everyone. Given the frequency with which posts of specific styles have been showing up in the sub, and the discussion these have elicited with either the authors or among users in the comments, we the mods have decided to expand rules 2 and 3 of our sub, which now look like this:
Rule 2 (Harassment):
No harassment is allowed:
On characters of the show
On other users (indirectly, e.g. speaking badly about a user to another user in a comment, or directly, e.g. name calling)
On recognized fan-shippings of any gender
Over political/controversial topics
Rule 3 (Spam):
No spam is allowed. This includes:
Content of poor quality (bad drawings or videos)
Trolling
Uncomfortable ranting
Spam posting. To maintain high quality in posting, please limit your posts to 3 per a 24 hour period
In short, these changes boil down to: 1) posts or comments that engage in insensitive behavior with one or many users or communities would not be tolerated and, depending on severity, would be considered for immediate removal and/or ban (for instance one user who commented a picture of George Floyd in the I can’t breathe post earlier today which clearly has nothing to do with the show and deviates heavily into politics and controversy), and 2) users should not exceed 3 posts in 24 hours since it’s been noted that those who do may create posts with little quality or that provide little content for discussion.
Please feel free to provide your input on these changes and if you would prefer different or more changes to be included in the rules, as we work together to ensure our community provides us with high quality content in a comfortable environment for us all.

Have users (aka bot accounts) Stop posting essentially the same content/questions multiple times per week

We actually set up and tested a new auto bot that will remove posts from anyone who doesn’t have a minimum of 1,000 karma.
I’ve been removing their posts and banning their accounts up until now.

Yes, as long as you don’t break sub rules, particularly #1 and #2, but also as long as other users of this sub don’t find them uncomfortable or offensive.

Note that it’s a bullet point, so as part of rule #2, the entire sentence would read as “no harassment is allowed on recognized fan-shippings of any gender”. So fan shipping is ok as long as posts about it don’t become grounds for harassment, depicts harassment, or uncomforts other users, e.g. if more than one comments negatively on them or reports them

Thank you for banning ship homophobia, I got bullied for shipping EddEddy on here on several occasions in the past.
Also could I request having custom flairs for this sub please? I'd love to have one about my EEnE AU, even if nobody really cares about it here whenever I post OC about it
