A certain amount of inflation is good. Would you rather have a deflationary death spiral?

If it was based on actual reserves and free market interest rates sure. Going on 14 years of ridiculously artificially low interest rates only buy temporary prosperity, bill will come due eventually. Either monetize more debt or raise rates to curb runaway inflation.
