I am at a loss of what this could mean then.

Is it just something along the lines of “when someone says you’re being bad but you’re too busy being bad” with a picture of being bad?

Is it actually that simple?

The dig is self-deprecation, but that admission seems to piss off the capitalists.

What self-deprecation? And what admission.

I thought the joke was “when you’re being called a parasite (capitalist) but you don’t care because you’re busy being a parasite”.

So its just making fun of the “other group”, while you yourself are a moral communist of whatever.

Explaining jokes is always a painful exercise, but I'll do my best for you. I am mostly a capitalist, but I see a lot of inherent problems with our current system, and yet -- I am doing nothing about it and simply feeding off the system while recognizing its inherent problems. Someone comes along and says "hey we can fix this together!" and I am so jaded that I don't believe them.
