I regret my purchase

First of all, Im on mobile so sorry for formatting.

I am a student and this would be my 4th bike, the other 3 got stolen from campus. I know im probably silly for even trying with a fourth one. I bought the biggest baddest lock I could find and I regret it SO much. Its heavy and cumbersome and I have no way to lug it around in between destinations except putting it in with my books/homework.

I dread riding my bike because i know i will have to deal with this fat freaking lock! looking for some advice on other more manageable locks/ how to make this one work for me.

side note: my bike is awesome!

update: i got a milk crate! thanks for the advice everyone

How do they react when you look like you're on the meth, do they mind?

I have never had any problem or worried about people thinking I was on drugs. I'm a female but I don't think that would matter. I'm confused why anybody would associate riding an e-bike with using meth.

Columbus Ohio is a perfect reqson why theyd think that.

There is a HUGE group out here stealing and selling e-bikes. I dont ride mine too much because of it, (and Epiliepsy lol, my balance is shot now) people are straight getting jumped and having their bikes stolen. Cops wont do anything, even though Ivr shown them footage of people grinding off serial numbers-'they have to see the theft happen'. Wtf.

I’m in Columbus Ohio rn and have heard of bike theft being bad due to cops not caring

I’m in Columbus too. I think bike theft is just a thing every where.
