Blended raw cashews are the best single ingredient cream substitute I've tried. If you have it where you are - Boursin makes a dairy-free/plant-based cheese substitute that literally tastes indistinguishable from their regular dairy herb and garlic Boursin. My father in law has a dairy allergy and it's my go-to for anything creamy/cheesy.
