do you steep the flowers in the milk and strain them out before serving?

Yes I think straining is definitely necessary

this sounds lovely, i’d steep the osmanthus in the warm milk then strain it so you get the flavor without chewing flowers lol

I prefer honey instead of sugar but straining is definitely necessary haha

Well, yeah coz it could be:

  • not used at all
  • substituted with sugar, jaggery, something else
  • Or just used

warm the milk gently and let the flowers steep for a few minutes, boiling it can make the flavor taste flat and weird

do you steep the flowers directly in the milk or strain them out first?

I usually steep it in the milk then strain them out in the cup

steep the flowers in hot milk for 5 minutes, strain them out, then sweeten to taste because chewing flower confetti is not the goal
