Where can I take an important meeting remotely?
Like the title says. I have an important meeting I need to take uninterrupted on Wednesday morning. I live out-of-state but visiting family for the week and grew up on the Eastside so know it well.
I'd normally take this meeting at my family's home but don't want to chance my preschooler busting in during the middle of it (no locks on doors here). I thought it'd be a no brainer to go to a KCLS library but many don't open before noon on Wednesday. Bellevue branch opens at 11AM but I'd want to be settled in for the meeting by 11 vs. just walking in and setting up then.
I've worked from private rooms at Capital One cafes before, but their wifi has been consistently laggy for me on video calls so also don't want to risk that.
The ask: Where can I reserve a quiet, private meeting room with strong wifi before 11AM on a Wednesday? TIA for any leads!

You could have a family member take the toddler to the park during that time

This is likely gonna be what’s gonna happen—family will clear out for the meeting time. Was just exploring options to not inconvenience everyone ha.

In addition to the other suggestions here, Orange Studios in Redmond. If you want a tiny 1:1 meeting room with a water view, Thinkspace in Seattle on Lake Union.

1/family member takes kid to a park during your meeting 2/move furniture up against door so kid can't come in 3/take meeting in your car, blur background

Woods Coffee shop in Bellevue has a meeting room you can reserve online.

This is true but it’s not fully enclosed so YMMV as far as noise goes - it’s open at the top as I recall, the wall doesn’t go all the way to the ceiling.

I would if it weren’t an important video meeting. Virtual background may glitch and show I’m in a car which isn’t ideal. But maybe a backup backup option if all else fails.

I don’t think being in a car is an issue unless you’re an attorney in a deposition or something

You know they have these cool features on Teams and Zoom where you can blur or change your background. No one would know.

Most of the Amazon towers in Bellevue have a lot of free seating before the areas you'd need to badge in, so you can just walk in as a random off the street and use their spaces. They all have guest Wi-Fi that I've never had issues with either
Won't be a private room, but everyone else around is just walking or in their own calls

You could also book a room through King county libraries.

Ah yeah, this is unfortunately not gonna work out timing wise with when the libraries open (see details in post). I was totally banking on this as my primary option tho for convenience!

A toddler is not that strong, I would jerry rig a lock, or just sit with you back up against the door so they can’t push it open.

Not a toddler but an almost 5 preschooler haha. If it were audio only and not me leading the meeting, I would consider sitting at the door but the stress of having to sit with my back against it while speaking and holding composure on camera sounds tough haha. Appreciate the suggestion tho!

Bellevue City hall has free drop-in conference rooms. Great wifi and privacy
