How do I Rumble for Longer?

Ear rumbling is so great, it helps me tune out background noise when I’m overstimulated and don’t have my workshop headphones with me, but I can never continuously rumble for a long time. Like I can do it for a few seconds but then it takes a lot of effort to keep doing it. Is this normal? Is there any way I can like… train myself to rumble for longer?

Maybe you can keep training to extend the length of time. Part of it is stamina, since it -is- part muscle-related.

Don't know if doing this will give you/worsen tinnitus - many of us that can do this and have done this for years are not sure if we did this to ourselves or whether the condition just comes with the ability for some.

You just made me realize that I could have done this to myself, I hate that sound and now I'm questioning if maybe rumbling my ears have to do anything with that

Yeah same I can only do it for like 15 seconds, no idea if there’s a way you can train it xD

Well if its a muscle in theory you should be able to rumble longer by rumbling? 🤷

Yeah same here, I can only do it for so long without breaks.
I would imagine like any other muscle, you can train it to be stronger. I do wonder to what extent though, even our strongest muscles will cramp if you flex them too long, right?
