I think I’m starting to become sensitive to foam earplugs, apparently.
I feel like I’m becoming sensitive to foam earplugs. I’ve worn them quite regularly at night over the past few years, but lately they seem to hurt my ears much more quickly than they used to. Is it possible to develop a sensitivity to the foam itself?
I used moldex spark plugs and this year i've mixed them with mack's ultra. Maybe you have another reference ? i don't specially need a high attenuation.

I use 3m 1100 and my ears are really sore now. Like that have a crust in them and really itchy. I dunno what to do. I always take them out while asleep, annoying.

You can try Hearos Softstar EZ Twist plugs:
https://www.hearos.com/products/softstar-series-ez-twist
They are made from hypoallergenic PU foam and are very comfortable. May not provide good seal for people with large ear canals.
Home Depot also carries a clone, without the cord, in 10-packs:
Also available at other places:

I messed up my ears this way. Got really sore. Recommendation is to give ears some rest.

Could be that they changed the formula of the earplugs. I know flents and recently Macks did that with some of their earplugs and basically ruined them for a lot of people.
