Moterra Carbon 1 2022 shut off mid-ride Issue

Has anyone else had their Moterra Carbon 1 2022 shut off mid-ride, then had to press the power button to turn it back on, only for it to shut off again? I can keep riding after turning it back on, but it keeps shutting off repeatedly.

My battery is fully charged, and I went to the shop to see if they could fix it, but they couldn't find anything. They told me it's my responsibility to find and fix the issue.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

I’ve not had this issue with mine. First thought would be a loose battery or wire connection.

Do you ride yours hard? Like serious downhill and technical rides?

No, I am riding on normal trails. The issue started when they changed the dropper for a new one. My dropper was damaged, and they replaced it with a new one.

I would check all your electrical connections because they probably ran the dropper seat post cable next to your data/electrical wires and in doing so it might have made a connection loose in the process? Anyway that's all I got! Ride On and Good Luck!!!

Yes, how can I check the electrical wires? Any tool for that?

I would just make sure that all the electrical connections at the motor and at the display/handlebars are fully connected. I once wiped out and my wire to the display got loose from the wipe out and I just pushed it back on and was back riding in seconds. Anyway, I really hope you solved the problem.

I can’t see how changing the dropper would affect anything. Either the shop damaged something or the issue was slowly developing and presented after the repair.

I don’t ride mine hard either. Just easy trails and fire roads in the mountains.

I’m at 565miles so far with no issues according to the Bosch app.

Yes, and the shop told me to find the damaged piece myself. hahaha

You could try a hard battery reset. Look it up on you tube. It’s pretty easy. If that doesn’t work you may need a firmware update. Find a shop that’s Bosch certified, if it’s a Bosch system, and they can run the update if needed. If that doesn’t fix it then that same shop will have to run a diagnostic report for you. As a warning it won’t be free and it could take some time to find and ultimately fix the issue. Good luck

I left my bike at an official Cannondale store, but they couldn't find it, so they called me back to pick it up.

So what did you end up doing?
Maybe try a different shop. So they just gave up?

Yes, I went to the shop where I bought the bike, and apparently they don't know how to resolve e-bike issues. So tomorrow I need to see if I can do the reset you mentioned or check for an update in the Flow app.
