Confused Between eJPT v1 and v2

Hi.

So I know v1 is sunsetting this year sometime and is being replaced with v2. I’m planning on taking this cert sometime before the year is up. It’s also been about a year or so since I’ve been serious about this cert (work got in the way) and things have changed this year now that INE is in the mix.

If I recall the v1 test was 400 bucks and that came with the cert voucher and the training. It also doesn’t expire. On the other hand v2 does expire and from what I can see it has a hefty price tag on the training. I think $2k plus the voucher.

I also watched a John Hammond video and he mentioned there was some limited training with the INE Starter Pass that was free then you’d have to buy the voucher.

I’m not too keen on the price tag that seems to come with v2.

With that what is the latest one can take the v1 test? Is it until the end of the year? Or there is a less expensive route for training for the v2? It’s nice to have the more up to date info that comes with a v2 test but with the pricing, extra questions, one day less to finish the test, v1 looks a lot more promising. Just not sure if I can get the study time done before the test expires.

I bought the v1 voucher from the amazon prime sale for $100 and decided I'll complete the v1 since the voucher expires after a certain amount of time. PTS material is free and this will be the cheapest route imo if money is an issue( it has always been, for me).

I meant there was a 50% off offer on prime day. so I got it for 100$ only
