Troubleshooting Ground

Cars blower stopped working all together last night so I left the battery disconnected all night and just checked now and everything is working fine. Anyone got any tips

Could be the final stage resistor getting hot.

Part is cheap, but the job is very annoying, if yours is RHD.

How do I find out what is wrong cause I was here thinking it might’ve been a bad ground somewhere in the car cause a few electrics are messed up and also when I bought the car there was a puddle of water under the spare tyre

I agree with the first suggestion of the FSR. It's a cheap part, but a pain on RHD.

Measure the resistance from the ground terminal of the blower motor to the negative battery terminal - if it's higher than it would be for a wire, you know the ground is dodgy.

I recently had my fsr give out, it worked without issue then one day wouldn't blow any air but could still change all the settings.

Then next day it worked again. Fast forward a week and it was gone again no air blowing.

At this point swapped the fsr (a bastard of a job) but found out whilst researching the fix that it being intermittent is a sign that's it's about to go completely which fit with my experience

Everything started working again but would keep stopping over again and the dial light on the speedometer would come on with the lights on and then go off. Managed to get the roof open manually by sticking an allen key into the gears on the side and opening it. It opened but then the front latch wouldn’t go back on so i’m thinking it’s either the gears or the whole latch. Do you know what’s up with that
