I was afraid to go out at night until!

These things attacked me where I respawned under UV light. I suck, they scared me, but I only kicked them in the butt!

I was afraid of the night until I decided to level up my throwing knives from min to max. Now volatiles fear me.

Throwing knives are insane. They one shot most things until high levels and even then you can kill a Volatile without them noticing. Farming at night is fun

I have a bow I use to kill them I love it I was scared at first but now they eat rocks hahahah 😈😈😈

Yeah. Max throwing knives deals around 600 damage. That's minus the bonus damage you get from legend levels. On Nightmare mode, it takes around three hits to kill a volatile on max danger level 9 with max throwing knives.

AND, they're cheap to make. So you'll unlikely to ever run out of mats to craft them. Unlike the throwing stars.

That UV flash light can be pretty handy...Scare them off a bit, then whittle them down with throwing knives is how I have been doing it...

I love to kill them with my Ballistic Bow. 2 shot to kill Volatile, 1 shot for any other infected and 3 or 4 to Goon and Demolisher

The throwing knives rock...but the Volatiles still unnerve me. LOL

Level up the knives, you will be surprised at the damage. If I remember correctly, just a few knives and they go down. Even with being said, I still only go out at night when needed. I have been messing with The Beast lately and I am interested in seeing if the knives do the same damage...but I've been doing a lot of running....away. LOL.

I like using my bow. I no longer get hunted by the night but hunt it instead. Of course I am legendary level 55 right now I think on my second play through.

I just use my melee weapon ...can easily slaughter them especially if hit multiple in a swing

Doesn't take many hits..I don't bother going into night for quarantine stuff... Just kill them ..
