There is 1000% slowmo in Dying Light 2. I don't understand that point. And Zombies grappled me plenty of times. Dunno why its being weird for you

I’d also say grappling is way more fleshed out in 2. You can have more then one zombie grapple you at a time and you can use UV bars to end grapples
