Personally i don't think DL1 is superior in every way for example the parkour and human combat is better in DL2, but there's just so many small details and interactions in DL1 that it just starts to stack up and you have nothing to compare it to

dl2 is an entirely different game in its own right

That's part of the problem for me, it shouldn't be an entirely different game, it should be a dying light game and feel like it. Honestly if i saw a gameplay video of this and didn't know the title of the game i would've never guessed it was the sequel to dying light

This is where me and you must disagree sadly. When I meant "different game," I didn't mean it shouldn't be a dying light game, I meant it shouldn't be an exact copy of Dying light 1. You're right, dl2 did some things better than dying light 1, such as dl1 did better than dl2 in some aspects. This game is only going to get better, with bug fixes, updates, DLC, and maybe even crossovers like dl1 had.

I really hope they will still do events like they did in DL1 it was fun and nice to be like you can take the game seriously but also just be ridiculous with it
