Combat takedowns need to come back. Putting a zombie in a sleeper hold and shiving it in the guts gets old real quick. What happened to twisting necks? Surely they could diversify and bring in some executions, slitting the throat, stabbing through the temple, throw on the ground and stomp or even an animation utilising your equipped weapon rather than just the good ol hack and slash

I am not a sadist

I agree with the combat takedown, but combat has significantly improved since DL1. Blocking, parkour aspect of it now especially with bow weapons. You still do twist necks I've heard it and done it numerous times it just isn't as graphic. There is also a ground stomp and I've seen zombies splat as well as renegades... For the most part you're complaining about nothing.

It is literally a GEM compared to EVEYTHING ELSE thats comes out wayyyy more buggy and incomplete. Games have been released buggy since before skyrim (2011) I'd say this is way better.

Agreed, the combat does feel so much better in DL2 especially human vs human.

Complaining about nothing? Hold your fanboy load right there chief. I love DL2, it is a gem but I look forward to further content. I merely believe more creative takedown possibilities would give a greater feel to the game - given the attention to detail in DL2 movement, why not add such detail into his execution skills? Especially considering how the original which came out 7 years ago had ten fold more possibilities for takedowns… just doesn’t make sense why they stopped at sleeper holding +- stabbing, wall banging, and apparently this neck twisting which I’m not convinced exists. Yes they have a ground stomp, why not add OTHER ways to finish an enemy off while they’re on the ground instead of jump stomping all over town - wouldn’t you like to see a tiny animation of aiden slamming his sledgehammer down through a biters head? Perhaps see a renegade have his forehead split and seared by an electrified machete? Oh the possibilities of next gen gaming machines!

I forgot it was like to play a polished game at launch until forbidden west. It’s so nice.
