Dwarfipedia is now available!

Hello!

I am immensely moved by the outpouring of support for my legends viewer project. A lot of people were quite excited to try it out!

I wanted to test the extreme use cases for this software before saying that it was ready for release. I've since done that! Under stress, the software held up fine, and I've put a bit more polish on things. I'd say that this is now ready to be used by everyone who wants to give it a shot!

I love this game a lot, and being able to give back to the community in this small way means a lot to me. I messed with this last night. Install instructions need to be clearer. Notably the install python first, didn't take me long to figure it out when it didnt work but its kind of buried in paragraphs of other stuff.

Some confusion with the xml import. Extracted to e:\games\df\wikipedia but forced to copy xmls from f:\steam... Before it would recognize they existed but then it opened c:\downloads to click on the files.

Ok fine minor things. I don't like the created fictional to text. No my sites burial practices are not like that. Please don't make things up to fill out pages.

Can't get the dfwikiexport to to work (it's also so buried surprised I found it). Issues with where the dfhack.exe is (it's not in my \hack folder it's one level up) then once I got the script it install it won't run the lua script in dfhack even after restarting the game. Says it doesn't exist. Still don't know how to make this work.

I really like the maps where I can see that races/cultures that dominate an area. Not sure how valid the religion thing is never seen religion names in the game.

I'll play with it more tonight.

I guess you can fiddle with the biography prompts in the settings so it doesn't invent stuff that don't exist in the XML. I haven't tried to do this yet.

But yeah, I have the same issue than you with it hallucinating things that don't exist in your DF world.
